I'm working on videos about ESG and why everyone should have babies, but in the meantime I was so surprised by wokeists' attitude to the Huw Edwards scandal that I had to respond.
They're defending him in a way they definitely wouldn't for, say Prince Andrew or Max Moseley - and they're attacking the journalists who have investigated Huw. It just shows that if you're in the tribe, you're untouchable.
Also the concept of the TV licence is MENTAL. Even the Soviet Union abolished their licence fee in 1961.

We had a number of people admitted to the mental health ward I worked on, who were awaiting court cases for sex crimes. Every one of them was found to be fit to stand trial. They may have been anxious but this was a perfectly normal response to having to face up to their actions.

@@raycope2086 I always recall my mum telling me that the lady who lived next door,had a dreadful time in WW2.Her husband was killed in an air raid,and a week later she received the news that her son had been taken a POW by the Japanese ! She just had a cry,wiped her tears away and got on with it. No help from counsellor or a trip to her doctor etc.and she probably just had a cup of tea and prayed her son was alright.He later returned but was a mental wreck for years after what he had gone through. These were just ordinary people and this was not an exceptional event.That generation would not believe the nonsense that goes on today.

Legal phrases such as "not guilty by reason of insanity" or "incompetent to stand trial" have been around for decades but they are traditionally applied to serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia or psychosis. Perhaps the issue now is that people who were having some problems in their life that required them having to speak to a counselor for example are now being classed as if they too can't be held responsible for their own actions.

The Met Police are so efficient. 2 days to check through Edwards' home and BBC PC equipment and that of the victim's. That's brilliant. Two things sicken me about the way this has been treated. One the "He's done nothing illegal" cries - as if being an immoral adulterer is of no consequence; two, that if this had been e.g. Nigel Farage, there Left would be frothing at the mouth calling for him to be jailed or lynched. Just a note on the tv licence. I pay my tv licence. I worked away from home for 6 months and was immediately jumped on by tv licencing to buy more licence fee for the flat i was renting. On principle i didnt watch tv i just watched documentaries on youtube music etc. I informed them through their website facility that i was not going to need a licence as this was the case as they requested me to do. Despite filling in the no need for licence box every month without fail i had an escalating threatening letter come through my letterbox. They were working in my area, an investigation had been opened up into my address, an officer could come and gain entry at anytime etc etc. I obviously didn't mind as i wasn't breaking the law by watching but bloody hell talk about bully boy tactics.

Was tax paid on the 35K or was he expensing it? Giving someone money to buy illegal drugs means you are supplying them. Why pay 35K when you can get your porn for free? My assumption is that if he paid anyone any money at all, it was in exchange for pornographic content and chat, exactly like onlyfans. What they did with the money is up to them, so even if he has done, spending it on drugs is their own fucking fault. Onlyfans are also not an employer in that regard, but yes they have had issues with underaged people using the service in the past, I believe they increased restrictions and age checking some time ago but nothing is foolproof. I was unfortunate enough to watch a Jonathan Pie video defending Huw Edwards. The comments section was very telling. A bunch of seals all clapping in unison, with the (very) occasional outlier talking wrong-think against the narrative, all defending Huw, saying what he does in his own time is his business. I was tempted to write a lengthy post pointing out how if Huw worked for a private company and had no wife and kids then sure, what he does in his own time may not be illegal, but it sure as hell is morally dubious. But he doesn't. He works for a publicly funded entity, on which his actions have a detrimental effect. I was tempted to point out how if the behaviour of the CEO of a private company you had shares in was causing the value of those shares to tank and the public image to falter then you'd be within your right to be angry, and even petition upper management to have them removed. As the BBC is funded by the License Fee/Tax, those who pay it ARE the shareholders, and as such are within their right to denounce this immoral behaviour and have the individual removed. I was tempted to point out how his actions will have been detrimental to his wife, kids (and grandchildren if they have any?), the young men he'd been in contact with and their families, and that perhaps he should be held accountable. But in the end, I decided that it would fall on deaf ears, and it would have just devolved into mud-slinging as if I was a witch in the village stocks. I've given up on the lefty echo chamber. You can't have a nuanced conversation with them. My only hope is that like all things left, they end up turning on each other.
