I like the screwed in blade better if there's no play. I don't love the play on the quick change ones. I've started using the serrated blades lately.

Cool utility knife but the Chavez flipper chub is by far the best utility edc knife. The perfect blend of usefulness and knife enthusiasts elements, the quick blade change of the Chavez makes it above all the rest. Nobody wants to undo t6 screws to change a utility blade.

Is the pocket clip as tight as the one on the liner lock version?

I’m in the market for a nice utility knife, but the locking blade is a major drawback. A utility knife really has to focus on the practical side first. The pocket clip looks less than ideal for regular use going in and out, the blade appears to be sticking out too far to flip around when one side dulls (so you’re wasting about a third of the blade), and the blade requiring screws kind of defeats the purpose of getting something which avoids time consuming maintenance like sharpening. You buy a utility knife over a normal knife to avoid sharpening. While unscrewing and screwing back in doesn’t take a long time, it still means you have to have another tool handy and hope you don’t drop the small screws if you’re doing it while working on something. There are really good implementations of quick change setups that don’t have bladeplay. It’s not something that has to exist.

T6 to change the blade? WTF. Yes Poo Poo is what that is. Reate has the quick change technology on multiple utility knives. This thing looks awesome but that sucks. I use my CHUB and my Exo U at work and T6 to change the blades would render them useless. Just seems like a weird choice especially when the body screws are T8. It’s Berg Blades and Reate so I’m sure there’s a reason. All that said…… I’m still getting one 😂
