Leg Burning Rides - San Juan, La Union - Surfing The Philippines

We were greeted by some super long & clean righthanders a couple of days ago in North Luzon's most popular surf town - San Juan, La Union. We didn't expect too much from this area, but were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the waves, and the surfers.
The local loggers were dominating the lineup, and we wouldn't be surprised if some world class riders come out of this region in the next few years.

yep its karille point .roy the boy ,was the best longboarder ive seen surf that back in the 90 ts.surfed it a lot better direction and 6ft .and 10 people max in the water good footage cheers

it will be shot from late November-February. It breaks good 10 times in the season and if ya don't like crowds I have surf it on a full moon, paddle out at 3am and legs spent by 6am when the crowd starts to show.

Kaya hidi talaga attractive ang La Union kasi walang swell ang liliit ng wave di gaya sa Siargao may barrel dito wala pang beginner lang.

La Union and Surigao are easily the most over-rated surf areas in Philippines. Incredibly fickle. U would have to be very very lucky to score it even half decent. North east Pacific coast better by far, especially secret reef breaks no one ever goes to except those who know. Absolutely pumps for months on end ya kooks!
