Thanks so much for this video. I really appreciate your work with green horses - breaking it down into smaller chunks so they can learn. I also appreciate your encouragement of us as riders. Please keep up the great work and would love to see even more of working with green horses.

Cheryl I don’t have any green horses at the moment BUT I do have some plans in my head. It might take 6 months or so for them to happen but I hope to help you out with that soon. 😊

I hope this video helps you understand how you can teach your horse to move his haunches. Once you can do this you are well on your way to doing many more lateral exercises and getting your horse more supple.

Thanks very much for all your videos. I find them especially helpfull as you say precisely when you are applying the aids. Other instructors say what they are going to do but it is hard to tell when the aids are applied and also in what order.

Do you have a video with a horse who is green and you teaching the yields? I would like to know where is the best place to have the reins for each yield when teaching from the ground.

So I'm not the only horsey person to name dogs after Star Wars characters! Thanks for the refresher in teaching a horse leg yielding. I've watched a few of your videos now and am very impressed with the way you work with horses, explain things to your audience and just in general. Looking forward to more! All the best. 🐴🌻

I have a horse that when I mount will not move for anything.It’s a pain is there any videos on this?
@BasicHorseTraining2 жыл бұрын
I don't Ellie. Does he move well on the ground for you? when you do ground work?

Thank you so much! I really couldn’t understand how my mum would explain it to me, I will try it on a fence. She had me doing it in a field, I’d put my right leg on, and my boy would go walking to the right, not very constructive, thank you for your help

Your videos are outstanding mate, just your audio is a bit of an issue. Happy to discuss.

Hi Mat. Thank you 😊. I have a new mic in my latest videos and I think I have sorted the problem. Although I now look a bit silly as it is a line of sight one so I wear it on my helmet. It was the only place I could think of that would have 360 views lol.

@@BasicHorseTraining so you have!! Just had a listen and it's excellent. Well done mate! It also looked nearly as blowy and you couldn't hear it at all. I would have even considered dubbing over your own voice in a narrator style video. Cheers.
