I loved Lizzie this episode but I’m sad she didn’t get to remember everything. It’s like they built her up then tore her down as far as character development. But I have a feeling she’s gonna keep trying until she remembers the merge and how Hope is beneficial to her life. You saw the struggle on her face when Hope tried to include her in guarding the urn, like she wanted to say yes because of all she learned yet couldn’t because her memory was erased. I’m really looking forward to season two because I believe we’ll be getting more serious and Tvd vibes. Also Stefanie Salvatore? Wish we could have seen her!

My guess is that's not what Alaric and Caroline want for Lizzie and Josie. Based on what I've seen they don't want them to have to merge at all, that's why Caroline is away, she's trying to find a way to prevent the merge from happening all together.

If Lizzie goes dark its because of Alaric. He has Forsaken his own daughter in favor of Hope! Josie is more Sensible in why. But Lizzie feels abandoned and hurt just like how Kai did and that very darkness grew in him and swallowed him up. And the moment he began to care he was Abandoned yet again. If Alaric doesn't stop this B.S then Lizzie will end up killing Josie or maybe just Alaric since. Since they don't necessarily need to merge with Kai being permanently Disposed. Without his treat presence then there doesn't need to be a merge to stop him from offing The Twins
