You should speak to Chris Schullenburg who was the pioneer of small teams in the SAS and then the Selous Scouts. Most of the time he opted to operate alone. Sometimes he operated with a black Selous Scout. He was the foremost exponent of small teams and he taught the South African s about small teams. He was also the second highest decorated soldier in the Rhodesia security forces after Major Graham Wilson known as the phantom major. He was the most highly decorated soldier in the Rhodesian security forces.
