TBF, even though the colors and head are clearly Cyberverse Shadow Striker, the original Shadow Striker was a retool of Sideburn, so the choice of pretool makes some sense.

It's kinda weird they call her Cyberverse Shadow Striker when they essentially gave her Universe incarnation her Cyberverse colors and head. They probably should've just called her Shadow Striker without specifying the incarnation. I'd think a more accurate Cyberverse Shadow Striker would be a Generations Selects 'Weaponizer/Junkion'-like figure that came with extra limbs to swap between her 'normal' self and her rebuilt self. Part of me wishes I had a 3D printer and serious design skills to convert Axelgrease and just place this figure's head on her.

now the big question is will we get a roulette repaint from this for those that dont know originally shadow striker was bot con exclusive and used sideburn's mold along with her sister roulette so since legacy shadow striker is mixing both her bot con version and her cyber verse version id be very surprised if we get her sister as a figure

I get that they were homaging the original Universe Shadow Striker who was a retool of Sideburn, but had they just retooled the chest area and left the other chest for when they actually release Sideburn, I think this would have been a lot better. I hope that bumper issue isn’t as universal as Gamer Megatron’s knees are. Hasbro is just dropping the ball with QC issues lately. Hopefully everything will be squared away with the Sideburn retool which I’m personally looking forward to.

The rear bumper issue is a new one. I have seen that someone in a Facebook group I'm part of shared a picture of their Shadow Striker that had two of the same foot, instead of a left and a right.

She looks alright. Nothing like Cyberverse, and the fenders in car mode are just nonexistent, but the coloring is good and the deep cut reference is cool. Excited to see RID 2001 get some love though.

Since there are 4 slots on the bumper i think it was intended to plug into the same tabs in robot mode to make sideburns shoulder pad. Also she can hold the gun as a dagger but it doesnt look very good

Sideburn was my very first transformer. I got him for my 5th birthday, and looking back that makes it so much funnier to me that he was considered so difficult and frustrating to transform 'cause I don't recall having any real issue with it. I really wish I still had the toy, he started losing pieces as most kids toys do but the entire figure was lost in a move, and I've always kinda wanted to get another one. This won't be exactly the same, but I'm still looking forward to the retool when it comes out and it's nice to see they kept the spirit of his weird and fiddly transformation 😂

Despite the issues with the bumper tabbing in, I personally have really enjoyed flipping her back and forth between car and bot mode. It's a familiar but unique transformation and for that I appreciate it! I do kind of wish they'd given her the "frankenstein" makeshift appearance she had throughout the majority of the Cyberverse show, but as a whole she's a rather striking gal

A little work with an emory board on those bumper tabs should fix it. Had a similar issue with all of the Earthrise Sunstreak mold repaints, and an emory board cleared it right up.

Emgo's Strongarm skit already was funny enough, so I have zero complaints that he did it again for Shadow Striker. Also, while this is clearly RID01 Sideburn/the Shadow Striker repaint of him, I still prefer this colour scheme IMO, I just like the badass purple mobile

God, I'm so undecided on this. I know she was originally a Sideburn recolor but she just looks really oddly proportioned and the issues with the trasformation don't really help.

I have exactly the same issue with the roof and bumper. Best I can do is the bumper and back pegs on the roof all partially tabbed with the back of the roof very slightly raised. It's annoying. I really dig the robot mode, but the car mode is frustrating.

Well then Strongarm and Shadow-Striker are being a rival sense they life their commandors. 15:30 After Sideburn Hasbro also recolor and new mode on them into Shadow Striker's sister into Roulette from the universe comic. Roulette become a Autobot that comic and IDW comic Reboot as well, she also in Transformers Heavy Metal as a Decepticon. Idk what Hasbro will give her a Autobot logo or Decepticon logo time will tell.

There is nothing about this release that looks good besides the head sculpt. They should have used a repainted Axlegrease. Molded in one color but having one leg and one arm painted different.

Not sure if this is helpful, but I don't have issues with the bumper on my copy. Looks like yours has a slight defect on one of the tabs making it difficult to peg them both in? I also had no idea you could store the weapon under the "cape". Thanks for showing that 🙂.

The Dodge Viper is my dream car, so when RID 2001 first came out and I saw Sideburn for the first time I was excited. "My dream car's now a Transformer, sweet!" Though I've heard the Sideburn character is somewhat disliked by fans who saw him as annoying. But if Sideburn is going to get a new toy in this Legacy line, will he keep the Dodge Viper alt or will they just use this mold and recolor it using Sideburns colors?

To be honest, I wasn't initially interested in this figure, but seeing the transformation just about sold me.....almost. To me, it seems there might have been miscalculation and/or measurement errors/issues with that rear bumper. My only other issue is that I wish that those doors could swing outwards, but, after seeing the transformation and how they're directly connected to the shoulders like that, I can understand why they didn't do that. Overall, I think I'll consider getting the figure, but not really on my "I gotta have this!" list.

Have u tried turning the hands with the palms facing in words I noticed mines arms seemed to be flatter when i did that might be your issue with the back and roof.

I figured out how to fix the roof part....instead of pegging the car roof to her forearm, disconnect the peg from the roof, drop it in the gap and pop the roof on.

I figured out how to stop the back end if the car to stop popping out the tabs..it seems the right leg ( I think). Pops out of its tab as go to clip the door of that side In, it pushes the leg out so with a bit finacking and perseverance I got everything to align. Also the hinge fir the roof that's on the arm is really stuff so once the arms tabbed in it's slightly rotating that arm off its tab and unaligns everything so you have hold that arm down as u bdnd that hinge to fit and then once it's down that arm shouldcstay tabbed in and the rear bumper stays on. I caught it today I was like ohhh that's why that's happening. I hope it helps everyone out if u understood. Sorry for the novel

@@jonathanconsunji there are copies of this toy that work properly, and I highly doubt that the designers would have created something they knew for a fact wouldn’t work. Besides, Mark is the lead designer, I highly doubt he was the one that designed the specifications for the bumper piece. This is probably a similar case to dead end, were slight variations in the tabs between copies have caused the sections to not work together.

For some reason I like this Shadow Striker more than Strong Arm I don't know to me she looks better the head sculp looks better and I think is the purple that gets my attention more than the white and blue and when it's Hasbro gonna learn that just because they are female robots doesn't mean they have to have human features like curvy bodies because of that they are either shell formers or the transformation is super simple or super hard

In the case of this Shadow Striker, it does sort of have a curvy body but it's bulky enough to actually transform. The thing that sucks about most fembot designs is that Hasbro makes them stupidly thin for transformers, and it just doesn't work. They consistently make curvy autobots but they're always men lol. Just look at Infernac

OMG! The side view in robot mode is terrible! Damn. They really should have figured out something better with the arm placement. They're just too far back. What's worse is that the front end of the car mode looks like ass. Other than that, the rear bumper shield is too small to properly cover up the back end and the roof shield is too squished down to look like an actual car. This figure is definitely going to cost me a lot in the upgrades department.

I don't have any attachment to the character this is a pre-tool of, nor of this character, but I definitely thought the Cyberverse design was really unique and this removed all of that but the color pallette but still claims to be her.

It is her. There was an exclusive version of shadow striker that was a repaint of rid sideburn so this is definitely homaging that and blending in some of her cyberverse design as well.

In defense of the figure, Hasbro merged both her original BotCon 2003 design with her Cyberverse design. Cyberverse Shadow Striker from the neck up, and BotCon 2003 Shadow Striker from the neck down.
