Dr Doom is best when he's just the embodiment of "the ends justify the means", and a extremely harsh perfectionist. He's more interesting to me when he actually has good intentions, but does horrible things to accomplish his goals, which end up tainting everything. He also has to be really arrogant, but one of his flaws is that he treats himself as harshly as other people. He has such high standards for himself, that it drives him insane. He has intellect and power, but no compassion or empathy. He's a brain without heart, while Richards, Stark, and Banner are heroes when they let their heart lead their intellect. I also like it when he's actually a pretty good leader of his country, like no one goes hungry, the schools are excellent and free, but obviously the people lack freedom and he's cruel to those who rock the boat a little. When they write Doom without anything for you to sympathize with him over, he's just a cartoon like Darkseid.

Yes!! The-Beyonder. Ironically enough, Henry Cavill would be a great casting. As much as I love the idea of this, I also recognize how tough it can be to portray on screen. The Silver Surfer is the same and we've already seen how that can be rather disappointing. It takes a few great writers and a very good director to get the movie out of a story with a character like this that actually sells. Still, I think it could work. We just need a little more time to get mutants in, re-establish the neighborhood crime fighters, get the FF back where they belong. The stage has to be set for this, properly.

I sometimes think about that. So many of the things we use and abuse nowadays are explained magic. I will say that during the reveal, RDJ was wearing a green outfit not an iron man colored one. They are usually good about hinting things. This might be an entirely different version of Tony Stark/Doom

My first thought was they are adapting Demon In An Armor. Doom tricks Stark into building a machine that transfer their minds. Cillian Murphy could still be cast as the real Doom, I hope this is how it goes down!

Hey there Rob, I have a theory and I really hope you read this. Cause I know you love Hickman just as much as me. Okay so I think that Doomsday is going to be a story line following Doom running around trying to save the Multiverse by destroying other universes (much like he did in Time Runs out.) Our main heroes will be Stephen and America who by then will be able to follow him around the Multiverse. The movie will end with a cliff-hanger of Doom destroying all of the universes in a last ditch attempt. With a reveal that Doom recreated the multiverse in his image. Maybe there will be a Beyonder/Molecule Man that ones in the air. Then Secret Wars will of course be Battleworld from SW 2015 and it will follow ALL of the heroes banding together against God Emperor Doom in the same way we saw a giant ensemble for the last fight in Endgame. Now my only basis for this is 1 the movie titles but 2 the fact that they already used Hickmans creations i.e. The Black Order and The Outriders. Really this is all wishful thinking and I can’t wait to see what the actual end result is. Either love you man, take care!

Doom 616 has been petty and egotistical, but would consider it utterly beneath him to do this. He had such an ego after all. To achieve all his goals by his own unstoppable drive, no matter how battered his own body might become. Outsmarting Tony to take his wealth? Probably. Permanently hijacking his body and life? Something for a lesser being. Not Doom. Everything he's gained and owned is HIS.
