I was so obsessed with this show back in the day. I revisit these scenes from time to time. Can't forget Legacy it's a shame they cancelled it after one season.

I swear, Marita´s so classy! Way classier than all those rich plantation owner chicks. Her character is portrayed as intelligent, intuitive, supportive and stroooong. Can´t belive they stopped this show. I bet it was because most stupid viewers prefer some boring old "legally blonde" kind of shows. Or reality tv that only makes ppl more dumb!

this show is called legacy. it was kick ass! As far as interracial couples you can try something new which is really good, there's also hitch and also the bbc show merlin- Gwen is Black and Arthur is White

TVwriter23, Look at the 'time frame' in which this show was set and there you've got your answer. In 'some' states, not all by the way, it was a "great taboo" for people of mixed race to be together, especially in an intimate way. Those 'other chicks' that Sean was with, PLEASE get a close-up on his facial expressions, and his 'body motions' and you'll see how he 'really' felt when it came to these women. He "loved" Martia and that said it all.

I just came across a short film Akiras Hip Hop Shop. Great movie! Got it on Amazon for like $2 bucks. Liberty Heights was cute set in the 50's, Haven with Orlando Bloom, classic films like Soul Man & Jungle Fever of course and a Bronx Tale with Deniro. This show was Legacy lasted like 1 yr or two. Enjoy!

Oyindade84, It wasn't a film, but a series (one of my favorites) on MY9 TV (former UPN) called 'Legacy'. I never missed a show and was so very sad to see them pull the plug on it, I think it has great potential but things ended much to quickly for my liking.

@keys1125 he never really got over her in real life he said she was the love of his life and the one that got away. he never married because he held out hope that they would find their way to each other .But it never happened.

@@arco__ I don't think so he moved to new york and am not sure what he does there. it's sad that he never got over her but she obviously moved on. this is what happens when you allow doubt to influence your decisions. he left her because he was afraid but ended up losing her. He had a relationship with Betty Buckley but that ended after 3 years. he does not seem to have a family of his own, but then he seems private about his private life so who knows. I used to hold out hope that they would reunite because it seems from her interviews she never truly got over him either but she has been in a 20 plus year relationship with Paul Becker. so to me, she is happy. Grayson ended up losing the love of his life in this scenario.

Obedub, I don't know if 'ruined' is the right word here, as he's the one who stated he'd made a terrible 'mistake' by not marrying her, and sorry to say I wouldn't be at all surprised if that's at least 'part' of the reason why he's 'still' not married today. But, then again, 'sometimes' we never know what the future holds for us. I personally think they'd made a truly wonderful couple. Not that his 'Dusty' character is finished, can't wait to see where he ends up next.

Maribuu, just saw your message about a DVD, well I was in Family Dollar last year, and found the DVD with the whole series on it. If you like I can send you the info, and maybe you can track it down for yourself? NO kidding around, I'm so very glad that I found this DVD (usually store like Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Kmart, Target, 99 Cent stores have the DVDs from various shows, mixed in with other tapes that's how I found this one). Someone tapes them from tv and I find them in these stores.

Wow you must be blind then! Sorry to say but Grayson and Sharon had great chemistry, and Brad and Angie, well lets not even go there cuz they set the screen on FIRE! Did you not see Mr and Mrs Smith, you could feel the chemisty coming of the screen, it was palpable. But whatever, to each his own i guess.

he and the black girl...in fact he followed her to hollywood after the show ended but they soon broke up...she got married not long after that. i think she ruined him cause he isn't married is he??
