Wheeljack looks surprisingly great in robot mode despite the massive legs and kibble. I think it's that the head and chest sculpt that are so spot-on that they sell the whole thing. It probably helps that his legs in the cartoon were never quite Bumblebee levels of "hood shoes" anyway. I bet if you just add a bit of extra paint to his legs, a green stripe and some grey to bring out the toe details, it would really make the mold sing even more.

Finally got my hands one this one today. I’ve been looking forward to it and it’s better than I thought it would be. Probably one of my all-time favorite alt modes. Quite a breath of fresh air after combining the Trainbots. This one is a FUN toy! Almost totally forgot about fun.

My God! I was 8 y/o in 1986, and the only survivors from childhood was my G1 Soundwave and Grimlock. Being reminded that Transformers is 40 now, really makes me feel my age. 46, but I FEEL like I'm still that 8 y/o, except now I have a whole ROOM of Transformers, from MP, Voyager class and 3rd party mostly. 😂😂

Not a dealbreaker for most of us, but still a bit of a design fail. Would have been a better figure overall if they just skipped that part.

@jadesutton9488 Bro, the fact they managed to even make this figure at all is awesome. Like, for years, I wondered if they ever would, and they did. What I'm saying is that some people don't know how to he grateful. Sure, the Bumblebee thing wasn't even necessary, but it's cool they added it. And I don't know what makes you think it doesn't quite fit, because that's clearly not the case. Also, you don't seem to understand the concept of shellforming. Shellforming is what Earthrise Arcee is, a bot whose entire body is just underneath the car, and has no actual body parts that get incorporated into the altmode. Like, even SS G1 Scourge has body parts that go into the altmode. And this Wheeljack has MOST of his body parts incorporated into the altmode, thus meaning that he is not, in fact, a shellformer. So clearly, you need to reevaluate your definition of what a shellformer is. Even if you disagree with me about the Bumblebee thing, you're DEAD WRONG about your shellforming thing.

Funny thing is, thanks to all the 5mm ports he has, plus a spare adapter from the 3P Burning Megatron add on, I was able to place OR Bumblebee, his jetpack and all four weapons (gave OR Wheeljack SS Jazz's weapon, because I am afraid to transform him anymore - and Bumblebee has Brawn's due a complex set of weapon swapping) onto OR Wheeljack.

I have him, all things considered I like him. My major complaint is with the "blast shield". It's a waste of plastic and a waste of budget. It should have been put to use in better ways, like actually having the windows be transclearent all the way instead of partially painted.

G1 Jack was weird and janky even by G1 standards. It did have a certain charm to it though. I wasn’t planning on buying this one but I saw it at Target’s 30% off sale and I’m glad. I like him but he has enough issues that I might have been disappointed if I paid full price (And those issues are largely unavoidable so it’s not criticism just a statement)

I can't believe how many years past to get a G1 w Wheeljack. Like 40 years. I'm disappointed no wheels. They gave us wheels for Sunstreaker Buzzworthy. I like the figure. I hope we get more of this mold in different colors. The msrp is expensive $34.99 usd.

and I KNOW there's an STL out there, of the blast sheild, with the baseformers they did that one year's, connection part, as an adaptor. I know you can buy all kinds of different roadway pieces with those connectors on them. Think they just got the plain pieces from Airwave, and dupicated them, ran off a bunch, and sellem in like a 10 pack. Ya know, like Hasbro should have done. Since they only halfassed committed to that gimmick, I guess it's a no go on that ever happening. And that really sucks too. I think basformers had far more potential than the weaponizer gimmick, that they refuse to let die. Anyone agree with me? If I had more options, I'd have a MASSIVE base in my dioramas. The way I see it, we don't really sit around playing with our toys, most of us anyways, but we DO spend time posing them, and making scenes. I know I don't speak for everyone on that, but I've got to imagine I'm not the only one, who'll make sets, and scenes for my figures. So many times, I do that, and once my buddy's and family get to check it out, I tear it down, and make another. A million times, I'm like "Why don't I photograph these, and upload them to instagram" and still never do it lol

this Wheeljack figure is good and all but not that good at the same time the head is not very well hidden although this version is used in the crossover series with Beast Wars in the Kingdom animated series I would definitely go for Prime Universe Transformers Prime series Wheeljack for a better legacy figure than Kingdom Wheeljack

So, his arms make up the front bumper, the backpack is only the roof, and the bottom, is his chest. The rest of the entire vehicle, is his calves.... Jesus man!
