Mj Tube HD i guess it’s all about the design. You see, the gap between trains and elevated stations is smaller than those on the underground. Take the (5) for example. Stations btwn Jurong East and Ang Mo Kio has a small lil’ gap, while the underground stations does not. To alert passengers (due to the uneven surfaces of moving trains while stationary), it is necessary to announce them in the underground stations as opposed to the elevated stations. Also can be because of the working crowd.

The reason why elevated stations have narrower gaps is because they were previously reduced (orange strips at the platform edge). This is not present in underground stations.

Island Life Yes. There will also be no shuttle svcs btwn Joo Koon and Gul Circle. Normal train svcs resume. Also, do take note that trains heading towards Tuas Link are alternate. E.g. Train 1: Towards Tuas Link Train 2: Towards Joo Koon (loop back) Train 3: Towards Tuas Link And so on :D
