Your channel is an absolute Treasure mine. Social media continues to delete Nazi history and society nowadays want to erase Nazi history. Kudos to you for presenting these historic gems that belong in a museum. We all must learn from history, the good and the bad. We must all appreciate historic relics. History needs to be learned, NEVER banned or erased. Humanity is prone to mistakes. Humanity also crafts Beautiful art. These fine pistols are the definition of art in both form and function. ❤

So that one without the serial number and beautiful deep engraving..... ummm with grips that are run of the mill.... if it had AH initialed grips.... I think it would be one of the most valuable guns in the world today.... it's just a set of grips away from that classification. Great documentary Tom. Always a pleasure to hear and see what you have. Thanks.

An amazing collection. Well done. :) If you're curious about Otto Marrenbach: Otto Marrenbach (born July 27, 1899 in Oberbröl near Waldbröl; † August 10, 1974 there) was a German National Socialist politician and functionary. During the time of National Socialism he was most recently a member of the National Socialist Reichstag and managing director of the German Labor Front (DAF). Life Marrenbach completed a commercial apprenticeship from 1914 to 1917 and worked for various companies in the steel and electrical industry from 1921 to 1927. Together with his brother Fritz Marrenbach, later also a high-ranking National Socialist, he also ran an electrical shop in Brüchermühle during this time. At the beginning of October 1928, Marrenbach joined the NSDAP (membership number 100 361) and from 1930 worked as editor for politics at the Oberbergischer Boten. After the "seizure of power" in June 1933 he was appointed chief adjutant to the head of staff of the Political Organization (PO) of the NSDAP. In 1936 Marrenbach became head of the main personnel office of the NSDAP as well as Reichshauptamtsleiter of the NSDAP. In 1937 he also took on leadership positions in the SA as a standard, then senior leader. After Marrenbach ran unsuccessfully in the Reichstag election on March 29, 1936, he became a member of the Reichstag in 1938 and remained so until the end of the war. As early as 1936 he had become head of the main personnel office of the DAF, in 1938 also its staff chief, he also held these positions until 1945. Following the German occupation of Norway, Marrenbach was briefly head of the “Labor and Social Affairs” department in April / May 1940 Reich Commissioner Josef Terboven. At the same time he was released from the SA in April and subsequently joined the General SS (SS No. 353 162), in which he was appointed Oberführer immediately upon joining. Marrenbach returned to Berlin and from then on headed the office of the Reich Commissioner there until 1945. From February to May 1942 Marrenbach held the position of head of the NSDAP's main training office, after which he became the party's main service manager. From 1942 to 1945 he was also the managing director of the German Labor Front. In the SS he last rose to the rank of brigade leader in December 1942; Furthermore, he was also appointed head of the NSDAP

I watched your video on the 1911A1 guns made by Singer in 1939, and I remembered that when i worked for Diebold, Inc. in the late 1970's and 1980's I was told that during WW2 they made 5" dual purpose guns for the US Navy. They had also been run by Elliott Ness and by Alan Pinkerton at one point.

The PP described at 9:07 as "9mm" is almost certainly a 9mm short ("9mm kurz"), called a .380 in the US, which is a 9x17 cartridge, not the common 9x19 cartridge that is the 9mm Luger (aka Parabellum).

Once again, Tom, you have outdone yourself. Wonderful collection of gorgeous pistols. Thanks for sharing. I was surprised to see a pistol with actual flowers engraved on it. I would have thought that it would be an insult to the masculinity of the recipient in that era. Just shows how little I know about such things. Your last “gold” engraved PP may be a real late ac pistol (1945), taken off the assembly line and engraved. The rear sight is a late type. The reason the engraving could have went “over the logo” is probably because this was a real late ac PP where there was no slide logo. And, there are no proof stamps. The trigger guard pin is also a pin used in earlier PP’s (or a pin for the recoil spring assembly/frame) as it does not partrude out of the frame slightly as one made for this type of frame does. A common thing with late ac PP’s. You even suspect it was probably still in the factory at the time it was liberated. Just my best guess. -Kelly

I have seen 2 engraved RZM's. Both were period engraved, but not factory. The one coming up is not factory in my opinion. BUT if period engraved it is still worth a nice sum. The RZM was ordered by the party and I dont believe they ordered any engraved. But the end user could get that done by private engravers. There was a large number of engravers in Zella - Mehlis and Suhl.
