Spike grenades are good for enclosed rooms, because it can double their damage output. Plasma grenades have similar damage to the spike, but have a smaller area of effect. (The grenade explanation felt like it needed this)

Another useful tips is that the razorback have storage in the back, in stockpiles you can storage until two piles and in capture the flag also can storage the flag, good addition for loneplayers when the team is no playing the objective 👍

Just one correction, you actually aren’t shown with the flag if you just walk normally and don’t sprint. Once an enemy sees you, your AI will notify you that the enemies know where you are. This is when you should sprint or flag juggle.

One of the best things I've learned is using the repulsor to move the whole stock pile at once. Just look at the ground with it in front of you and use it and it'll move all of them just about as far as you could throw them. Also using the repulser when someone shoots a rocket or throws a grenade at you launches it right back at them. You can basically sit there and kill people with their own rockets and gernades. You can also use the repulsor to knock around and damage any ground vehicle as well as keep them from splattering you. When you use it on a player when they're close to you and low on health it can slam them against a wall and damage them. If they die from it then it's called a pancake kill. Repulsor is the most underrated item in the game and it is my go to item every time I play.

Two quick tips: 1. The drop wall can also be used to stop sword wielding spartans during their lunge and the hammer will lose a chunk of damage, giving you 2 or 3 more sidekick shots 2. If you are in a vehicle, and get grappled, exit the vehicle and it will mess up their grapplejack. There are nuances to it. Check reply for more info

In a wasp, as long as they grapple from underneath, exit as they are getting close to jacking, and they grapplejack will be cancelled. Then just hop right back into it since you will exit above it. In a warthog/razorback, etc, exit the vehicle as they get within reach and it will move them into the passenger seat/turret, facing the direction they came in from. Face the direction they are moving toward you (if their looking east, you look east) and you can immediately back smack them for an instant kill.

One of the most important tips I've learned is that it is faster to swap weapons than to reload. If you are in a close firefight swapping your weapon when your primary is empty will likely give you a lethal advantage over your opponent

Another set of tips for the kind of new player, who has never played a halo game before, is the following: Every weapon is part of a greater sandbox, meaning every weapon has a role to fill in your inventory and knowing when to swap to which is key for getting kills. Also important to note for kills, headshots do not matter until the enemy shield is popped, so spraying and praying against an untouched target is very much a viable tactic. But all the killing mastery doesn't matter, if the enemy rocks up with a rocket launcher or even a tank (or anything along those lines), but since those have set spawnpoints and timers on every map, it is important to know when to control those locations, even if it is just to prevent the opposition from acquiring one of these power weapons, rather than being effective with them yourself.

Only thing is if you pop headshots with precision weapons like the BR or even the magnum (or whatever it’s called in infinite) it kills the shield quicker, body shots do almost nothing with those types of weapons so headshots do matter and honestly matter most in halo if you’re more a long-range type of player

@@mack9225 Based on the in-game tips and some personal testing, I just did in the weapon drills with stationary targets, you are mostly wrong. BR 75 Battle Rifle needs 11 shots to remove shields, both against body and head, but since it is a 3 round burst weapon, the 4th burst, if aimed at the head will kill the enemy, since the 12th shot lands on their unshielded head. VK 78 Commando needs 7 shots to remove shields, regardless of where you hit the enemy. MK 50 Sidekick (this game's unsc pistol, so the analog to the magnum more or less) takes 6 shots to delete shields, both against body and head. The Mangler needs 2 shots to remove shields, no matter where you hit (had to take this one into training mode to check it again, because it was curiously one-shotting unshielded enemies in the weapon drills, when all other weapon behaviors seem unchanged) All of those are precision weapons based on the fact, they one shot when you headshot an unshielded enemy with them, but don't do so when hitting them anywhere else. However, anything designated as a "sniper rifle" seems to operate more along the lines of what you are describing: The Shock Rifle takes down fully shielded enemies in a single burst of headshots, while it is only able to break shields with 2 bursts anywhere else. The Stalker Rifle takes 3 shots to remove shields no matter where you hit, but apparently the third shot deals more damage than the enemy's remaining shields can take, allowing it to punch straight through into a headshot kill. The S7 Sniper has the same feature, removing shields in a single shot no matter what, but penetrating beyond the shield capacity to deliver it's classic one-shot headshot. The Skewer just oneshots regardless of where you hit the enemy, demolishing both shields and health of other players, so its headshot capabilities only ever come into play against tough enemies in the campaign or overshielded enemies and those are occurances too rare to easily test.

Also Hugely important tip I didn’t know for a while about the Hydra: in lock on mode it shoots the rockets slower and is 4 shots for a kill, if you use the regular fire mode it’s 3 shots.

Using certain weapon combos and knowing when to use certain weapons can really help in MP Halo. Some have complained about TTK in Halo: Infinite, but that's most likely because using the AR takes awhile to strip shields. Plasma or shock-based guns can help with that task, and then you switch to your kinetic/ballistic guns for a headshot can transform the game for those who are new. I highly recommend Hokie's (Hokiebird428) School of Halo. The video series is really old by today's standards, but the basic tactics video can give you a good idea of what you can do to improve your game. TL;DW: Using cover, making headshots, and using weapon combos.

another thing i havent seen mentioned yet is you can use up on the D pad as a non verbal cue communication to mark things whether its where enemies are or a power weapon you dropped that another teammate might want. gotta be smart with it or re map the inputs though. ive definitely ended up dying instead of getting a kill or trading because of using it at a bad time instead of staying on the control sticks.

Hey bud, nice vid. One thing, they don't always know where you are when your holding a flag. If you've been spotted or you're running then you're able to be seen by all. However if you're just walking and not sprinting then only your team can see you.

You can use the repulsor utility to move the entire seed pile towards your side of the map. The entire power and the distance they fly is a little further than throwing one seed.

I'd strongly suggest people who are new to Halo get used to weapon combos such as the pistol & plasma pistol or plasma carbine/BR combos. Stripping down your opponent's shields can go a lot quicker if you can damage them with plasma or shock-based weapons. Tactics that other KZbinrs like Hokiebird have talked about to complete Legendary campaigns on Halo can pay dividends in PvP as well.

I love that most people leave the plasma gun just sitting on the rack. It’s great to drop the shield and then melee or in ranked, drop their shield with it then BR to the dome. Plasma guns are underrated

At first I wasn't sure about the game, but as I adjusted to it I would occasionally go back to MCC Halo 4 multiplayer and the speed difference is night & day, and the buzz I get from growing into it is exhilarating. However, now I am constantly hearing grapple hooks in multiplayer and am getting paranoid everywhere I go ;-)

One weird thing I like to do is if I know I'm outnumbered and outgunned while I possess a power weapon I don't want the enemy to have I run and drop it off the map. Obscure tip but useful in the long run.

I have also counter a sword.strike by grapple enemy and attempting a bash/ jump as I skipped forward and shoulder blocked him, it cancelled out the Swords Strike all together

Also the hard light shotgun in the game has a alternate firing mode as well (instead of horizontal you can change the crosshairs to be vertical for longer range) I believe it’s x one my controller I play on bumper jumper
