I frequently make use of a similarly named maneuver where I fly directly into an asteroid in order to confuse my enemies. It is highly effective, and has the added bonus of granting me a free ride back to the re-spawn point. I call it the "blow up".

imo the most important thing a pilot will need to know in SC. run away and live to fight another day. you should be able to know who attacked you, track them down and fight them on your terms.

Great video! Now we need CIG to remove afterburner on reverse strafe so players are forced to perform a "blow through" first, rotate 180 degrees, then strafe in reverse to kite. The reason why this is so important is to provide opportunities for the pushy style opponents to close the distance, right now kiters can perma-kite players around the map with reverse strafe. P.S. if people's still need to slow down rapidly, they could use space brake.

i dislike the fact that so many people still try to joust , and not aware that when you only roll without using vtols you only rotate your wings around your centermass wich is in the same spot

It might work, it also seems like a good way to get shotgunned to the face and give your enemy free access to your tail.

Try adding some spiral during the blow through. As for a free shot against your tail, we don't really see that happening in practice unless you do it the incorrect way as described in the video.
