OMG I love playing rpgs without the hud or map. Anytime I play Skyrim or fallout I like to just explore and soak up everything there is to see but when trying to find my way to objectives I usually have to turn the hud back on for at least a second to know where to go. THIS IS AMAZING!

In Ghost Recon Wildlands for example, it is possible to remove the HUD by pressing one button. I really like this approach. Then there's another one, but you need an eye-tracker for it and I think it only works on PC, but it recognizes where you're looking and only shows the mini-map, if you're looking in the bottom left corner. I love to play games without HUD, but often times it is not possible to navigate by NPC-chatter and clues only. I really think that every game should have the option to hide the HUD by pressing one button, because it just takes too long to toggle it in the settings every time.

So me and my buddy came up with a theory that towards the end of the game or maybe even early on, theres a time jump and you switch from playing as Arthur to John and hunt down the members of the gang. You track down everyone in the northern half of the map then get on a boat to Blackwater, picking up where the first game went off. If anyone wants to flesh this out then please do. Arthur might potentially be thought to have died or leave the gang on good terms with John and is ignored. That would explain the potential nee region of Mexico as a place that Arthur could retire to. Pin this comment for discussion?

@LegacyKillaHD, from what you just showed, you could take it further and roughly estimate the entire map extent (i.e., how far the map rolls out). We have an idea of the width of the map already, therefore we just need to assume the just height/length. If you assumed the aspect ratio of a typical map, we could assume that used in RDR 1, then we could figure out how large the map is in the north-east-south-west direction!

I'm really excited to see the variety of guns and other weapons they give us with this game. I'll definitely use all of them, but if I have the choice to use a C96 Mauser in this game, that will be my pistol. I mean come on, who wouldn't want to use the pistol that was the inspiration for Han Solo's DL-44 Blaster Pistol. I also really hope we can use Dueling Pistols, it would be super sick to use one in an actual in game duel.

I really hope we don't see the RDR 1 map in RDR 2, because when I think about it, it would probably take a lot of time to create RDR 1's map in this new engine next to the new areas we are getting, and all that time they would spend on recreating the RDR 1 map could've been spent on creating some even more amazing features and details besides those we are going to see in RDR 2. I really wouldn't want to have all that potential being wasted on something just so we can have a few nostalgia feels...

TpXd8bXqT Lungs are the biggest vitals on animals which means quicker death. (less suffering for the animals). Headshots are risky, not to mention damaging to the trophy/taxidermy. I’ve seen taxidermy animals in both RDR1 and RDR2 trailers, so maybe it’s a feature in game too. My opinion is based on real world hunting, and based on this game’s depth in terms of hunting simulation, it’s worth mentioning.

Ya, you're definitely right about a bow. I dont think one would pierce skull consistently. I've taken head shots with good success on deer with a rifle but they were 10-20 yard shots which is why I felt comfortable doing it. Much farther and I agree the lungs/heart shot is the better approach.
