Though it is very informative but the interpreter's role is really cringe-worthy. She was not abiding to any of the interpreter's code of ethics. I don't know whether that it intentionally written in these videos to give an example of how law students should react or the author thinks all interpreter works like this. Merely finding a foreign language student to "interpret" in your interview without proper interpretation training and potentially jeopardize your case. The lawyers should of vetted well for a proper interpreter.

thank you lol i’m a ling major who switched tracks from interpreting to law mid undergrad and the way she’s referring to the speaker in the third person is killing me

I imagine that 'creative choice' was done to show that isnt the proper way for an interpretter to do her thing or whatever
