Dear Sir, I inherited 60% of my house and have paid the rest of my siblings of their shares, through internal auction by the court decree. I have paid the tax on the total value of the property. Despite the judge’s order the society’s lawyer is telling me that he won’t transfer the deed to me unless I pay seller’s tax on the whole value for the same property. I’m completely at loss as to his reasoning. I’m a buyer I couldn’t not be asked to pay seller’s taxes. Please keep in mind that I have paid through the court into an account of the court. So I’m really confused where he is coming up with this idea. And what could I do to resolve this situation. Please kindly advise( I’m not presently in Pakistan that makes things more complicated as it is)
