Although not all injured workers are the target of crimes, many have endured and suffered crimes of fraud, battery & maiming, harassment, vandalism, invasion of privacy, and much more. These crimes are well orchestrated and pitted against people who are injured, ill or both, who are in a vulnerable state, and have no idea of the crimes that may befall them. We believe that awareness is the key. Injured workers should be made aware of the most common crimes in the workers compensation system are those that are set out by Insurance carriers, Attorneys, Doctors, surgery centers and other medical providers. If we can’t stop these well-orchestrated crimes against injured workers, then perhaps we can warn injured workers at the very beginning of their claim so that they are not blindsided, so that they can be aware of the potential for fraud / falsified medical reports and surgery reports, studies that are fudged or altered ie: MRI, X-rays, delay and denial of treatment or treatment that is actually intended to maim their body. Doctors and other medical providers, facilities are pressured by the insurance carrier's & defense attorneys to produce reports that favor the defense. If the Doctor or medical provider does not comply, they may be eliminated from the "network of medical providers" or blacklisted from future referrals. You can help. If you become aware of any person, business or medical provider, doing harm or cooperating in an intention to harm or commit fraud against an injured worker, we hope that you will expose it for what it is. Silence not only hurts the injured worker, but it also hurts the system.

I have tried to lawyer up many times during my 2 year wc claim. when i first saw a lawyer here in wa. they called my OCC MED Dr. and asked if he supoorted my claim. He must have told them no because said they could not help. You do go nuts without an atttny. but I have found that they can also be the ones standing in the way. Catch 22 for lower wage workers.

I got hurt otj. I had surgery. I got reinjured at another job. L&I have stopped my time loss payments and now I can't afford to live. 3 kids and a wife. This has been going on for years.
