Legend "Beast" Mode Using All Metal - My First Thoughts = Good!

I'll admit I was a little skeptical when new 1.14 (beta) update came out for the Nokta Legend. Something just wasn't right with "Beast" Mode but then I learned that you need to be in All Metal Mode (using Gold Field) and that was the ticket. Here is a video of me using it for the 1st time in a very hot/trashy permission and it found non-ferrous targets amongst the iron.

I think that was the best demonstration there was on the beast mode, and I do think you're correct that is how it's supposed to be used ! Good info and good video !!

I really like the Ferrous check on Legend, so easy to read and I think it is pretty reliable. I was debating on updating to 1.14 but you have shown that it is worth doing. Thanks for another good video.

Sure glad to help, just be careful with Ferrous check, it gets less reliable after 3 inches.

I like the way you set that up, maybe a little less iron volume for me though. I’m glad ya’ll are figuring this mode out. To me when I hear beast-mode, I think of a depth monster not a ferrous mode, so glad for the clarification. If it picks out goodies in iron, then it’s the Iron-killer mode, lol

Thanks for that permission I started with the iron filter at 1 but took it up to 3 because I was getting too much falsing. Seemed to be good for that location but i would start at 1 for other places and adjust from there.

I saw another beast mode video that was by Nokta/Makro,mit appeared to go deeper, hitting targets other modes wouldn’t? I really hope it’s a nice upgrade, thanks

Hi, I have a question, I'm from a Nokta Legend and I want a more powerful metal detector, I was undecided between these three: XP Deus 2 Minelab Manticore and CTX 3030? What do you recommend, I mainly do research in the countryside, is the CTX worth getting after all these years or has it become obsolete?

I never owned a Manticore but have the Deus 2. Light weight, performance, warranty, quality, Deus all the way. Some guys that water hunt don’t like the wire on the Deus 2. Deus seems to be better support with updates too. The 3030 is a good detector but got heavy for me in my 60’s. It was awesome at knocking out EMI, best modern machine I’ve ever used for canceling horrible EMI. The one weakness of the Deus 2 is in SMF, unusable in EMI ares, have to go to mono, and still struggling to find a quiet frequency at my worst EMI site.

The CTX is way over priced for a machine that's been around 10+ years. It's capable but slower processing. You can't go wrong with the Deus 2 or the Manticore but the Legend is proving itself to be right up there at a lower cost so it's a tough call for me to make that decision for you.

Since I’m primarily just a beach hunter on the coast of Florida, I don’t see much relevance this beast mode has for me. I probably won’t upgrade this software.

Kinda reminds me of gold field on the deus with the iron amplitude rejection cranked up to max, i just tried that last night, you get tons of iron squeakig through, but sometimes you get a high tone which could be big iron or a bottle cap, or it could be a non ferrous target youre looking for Going to try beast mode next week, as we got rain the next couple days and ill be gone for the weekend Two places actually, my parents property had lots of iron, and by the old train tracks where im more likely to find something interesting

Was using beast mode today going around an older home home was built out from a log cabin freind has other home they live in together with his wife tell you what in the plowed fields that thing was going crazy hand to ground balance a few time but if you have not been out for a few hrs as old as I am kicked your butt

If you watch Nokta's video they are claiming you gain depth/pull out targets that the other modes won't. Remains to be seen w/my sites but its still early. I do like what they did with Beast mode so far.

Beast mode, , non ferrous, im not enamored with this, not much significance here. If you can determine ferrous vs non ferrous consistency, look nothing’s perfect but I’m not blown away.
