First time I heard the name Khayyam was when Kabie Khabie songs hit the air. This was 1976 in Karachi and I was in medical college at the time. Always remember the name as these songs echo on air, en aankhooN ki masti see, aey did -e- nadaan, Khabie Khabie Meray Dil meN, Tum apna ranj o gham, RIP legend Khayyam.

A living legend, original creative music director. Jaidev and Khaiyyam composed for few films but everything they created was timeless treasure . Khayyam relatively enjoyed better commercial success but Jaidev's story is worthy of a tragedy film .

Khayyam sahab, Aap agle 200 salon tak Bhartiyon ke dilon men rahenge through your music. Aapki kuchh dhunen to unsurpassable hain. Magar aap men kuchh kamiyan bhi hai. 1. Aap ka math bahut kamjore hai. Aap "bahut achha" sab chij ko kahte hain. Ek gana hai: Hairan hun mai aapki julphon ko dekhkar, inko ghata kahun to ghataon ko kya kahun. 2. Aap awaal darje ke sangitkar hain, magar awaal darje ki shayri ki samajh aapke pas nahin hai.
