Lavitz and Albert would be the same character stat wise. Albert just uses a faster animation.

Albert for rose storm and meru for healing (her dmg is meh/ok) or rose for high dmg output with her combos

Meru has the Addition with the highest damage multiplier, which helps quite alot. (Perky Step: 600% at max level)

@@Cyril86 And Rose is 500% with a 100atk weapon at the end while meru has 600% with a 40atk weapon. At the very end Rose is better in pure additions dmg. Before that, Meru is better. When you get Meru she's weak and takes time to become relevant.

@@Cyril86 I'm not talking about the magic, but pure additions damage. Like I mentionned. Btw a difference of 15 speed (55 rose vs 70 Meru) does make a difference, but not anymore when Rose gets her Dragon buster. Double damage vs 15 extra speed. Meru does outshine Rose in magic and does a little more additions damage than Rose. However, Rose has the highest pure addition damage at the end. She does the most damage and that's why I prefer her. Dart/Albert/Rose is my go-to hard hitter/protect buff comp.

@@VvVici Sure. You get the Dragon Buster so late that it won't matter for most of the game, though, while the 15 speed difference will matter for the whole game.

families comes down to their fighting accomplishments like killing a large beast or defeating a powerful overlord. It also just seems from this lifestyle they would want to have some sort of momento to show off which in this case would be the bones/skulls.

This is so dang old but I recently heard a piece of music that reminded me so much of Kongol's battle music XD Gotta say nailing those additions with Albert was a challenge - also if you unlocked them with Lavitz the speed feels so much slower that I actually had a harder time doing his than with Albert lol

Albert was so fickle when I used him. When I used Gust of Wind Dance with him I wanted to pull my hair out. Then, when I got Blossom Storm it became a lot easier. Then about halfway through the game I couldn't do Blossom Storm to save my life. Then about 3/4 of the way through the game I could finally do it correctly with minimal problems again. :/

You people do realize that Kongol's suit is made from the bones of all the foes (both beast and human) he has defeated since he battled and lost to Dart first. Also Rose destroys it at the end of the battle so Kongol doesn't have time to make a new one before he joins your party becuz he is too depressed from both of his defeats to Dart. (Sorry I don't like how I know so much about this game but I do)

@dannyt426 It's just his stance. He keeps his legs close together (for God knows why) and has his left hand extending a bit toward his crotch. Presumably from having Dart kick it while using Burning Rush, in my opinion. Otherwise, I'd like to think that the animator that did Kongol in this fight wasn't thinking so clearly when he made Kongol II, but oh well.

I think Kongol is the most annoying boss in the game. Whoops, itchy trigger finger, your dead. Wish you could have him in your party with this armor though, looks bad ass.

"I hate Albert"? Albert proves himself EXTREMELY invaluable in many fights. This one and the one against Grand Jewel are prime examples. Twister Glaive, Flower Storm Addition. He makes mincemeat of them in a few short turns.

Albert, Dart, and Meru are the ultimate team composition. 50% damage resistance from Rose Storm. Meru's high healing, speed, and damage output, and dart being a character you can't remove...

Travis Gibbons Yeah. I like that team. However, Shana and Miranda prove to be more valuable. Plenty of enemies capable of instant death are Darkness-based. The three executioners in Zenebatos, for example, are killed within minutes when I unleash the White Silver Dragon on them. Speaking of which, all of Shana's and Miranda's magics but one heal the party, and Moon Light is the only magic capable of reviving a character. Rainbow Breath doesn't. Plus, they're the only ones who can own a weapon that attack multiple enemies at once.

***** The only complaint of Shana/Miranda is that their lack of additions and heavy dependence on magic is the unfortunate bite on their character. Shana/Miranda have a few fights where they shine, such as against the Polter Armor. White Dragon can pretty much nearly one shot him if high enough level & D. level. But for maximum output of damage and versatility. Meru outshines the archer. With much higher speed and damage, she does put the archers to shame in mid game. Albert does the same, but instead of damage, Rose Storm's damage reduction can be crucial against high damage fights. And his additions are not to be trifled with.

Travis Gibbons Oh without a doubt. I master EVERYTHING when I have Lavitz, and I run over everything. The second fight with Kongol? He's dead in minutes. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. I do like Meru. With a Giganto Ring, she destroys. Her Additions are also very fun to do. :)

let's see by this time I had Dart with Crush Dance at D.lvl. 5, Rose at level 4, Albert was done with additions (got them all done with Lavitz) and was d lvl. 3. I always did way to much grinding in this game lol but that's what I loved about it, you needed to grind or later bosses would kick your ass, Lenus comes to mind if you didn't grind enough, then again you could throw the heat blade on dart with blazing dynamo and call it a day.

Mst3kfanatic1 Same. I thought that was the point of RPG's...to grind your ass off to make your characters overwhelmingly powerful. Only exception was a few of the final fantasies because the computer adapted to your levels and became stronger itself.

I grinded a little too, jus to get the addition to a certain point but to be honest, the game is fairly easy, i already did the game without buying anything and it was fun but no real troubles.

Haha that’s crazy. I did a playthrough last year and didn’t get my party’s final additions until the moon. Haschel was still at lv 4 dragoon level when I reached melbu… but I found the game way too easy so I really tried to avoid any grinding and skip battles if I could sometimes. Makes me sad dragoons are kinda worthless once you get your final additions… only some party members are still okay with dragoons.

Were you trying a low level run, because Dart don't have Crush Dance (lvl 15). Actually, I like Albert. Sure, he was a pain in the ass to master, but his attacks look a lot cooler. Maybe it's because I practice my additions for about an hour before going to Kansas.

2 ways. 1 is grandfather was friends with one of the creators for Kongol and he was my favorite character at the time so i got to ask a few questions that which was one of them. And 2 it is a little inference because if you look at the shape, color, and look of the separate pieces of his armor they are kinda shaped like the jaw structure/skulls of some beast throughout this game. Plus if you know anything about the gigantos you would know how they live and that most of the honor to their

Ive only played as Lavits, Rose, Dartz, Kongol & Haschel. By the time I got to disk 4 all of their unlocked additions were easy & Albert has the hardest adds. imo (I 4get which ones), Madness & Moon Strike is tuff like the first 4 times (for me) which is why I call it easy. If you still think im full of it you are just full of scrub.

I play the game every few months/years, I just replayed it again a few weeks ago (after 2 years). Blossom storm is actually a pretty easy final addition since it has a pattern to me. Dont see how the ability to memorize an addition means I have no life. Maybe it means you need to get better at the game instead of throwing out insults about people you dont know? I dont care about looking cool just saying it's doable if you try it a few times instead of giving up.

The bosses in this game are so cheap. They constantly bombard you with ridiculously overpowered attacks over and over again. You have to choose between landing one measly hit and being forced to helplessly watch as hey retaliate by blasting your team with 3-5 attacks and wipe out your entire party before the others even get to take action,despite the odds usually being three to one or temporarily saving your skin by guarding before being slowly pelted to death. But {grins evilly} if you equipped kongol with the legends casque, then beating this game is like taking candy from a baby

I don't get why ppl hate albert... I liked Lavitz too but Albert pwns lavitz. By the time u get to disc 4 albert is doing well over 3 times the damage everyone else is doing. Gust of Wind dance is absolutely insane dmg and it is not hard at all. It's just 3 normal speed then 2 fast, then the next a lil slower, it's cake after you get used to it. If you think that is hard you haven't tried Darts Moon Strike Addition while being countered, it's nearly impossible at first. FYI I love albert!

What? Moon Strike normally is only medium difficulty... it's when it gets countered [When you have to hit O] that it's a total pain in the ass, it goes from medium to almost impossible because it's really fast and can get countered in 3 different parts.

It's not too hard when it's uninterrupted... but when it's countered it's pretty much an automatic fail... and since it can be countered in 3 different places, it happens OFTEN.

Rose Storm was hard, but it sucked anyways... I simply used Gust of Wind Dance until the end and had no problem because it was so damn easy, I could nail it 95% of the time. There was really no need to use Rose Storm. As for Dart, his final Blazing Dynamo was just as easy as GowD... so I really didn't focus much on Moonstrike enough to master it. I just remember Rose Storm and Moonstrike as the two additions I refused to use more than I had to, cause they were a pain in the ass.
