LEGEND OF GRIMROCK is a warm hug for fans of retro dungeon crawlers

Legend of Grimrock originally released on PC all the way back in 2012. It's an old school, grid-based dungeon crawler and it's making its console debut on the Nintendo Switch! Seth hasn't played this game since its original release, so he's excited to dive into the maw of Mount Grimrock and check out the Switch version.

Really appreciate you taking the time to put this up and explain things as you went. I've had my eye on the LoG Switch port as someone who enjoys these types of games but hasn't played this one. I was concerned about how well the magic system would carry over, but it looks like it's not *too* bad. Good to know a patch/update is on the way, too. I'll probably go ahead and pick this up. I played it back when on the PC and will totally be buying this. At $15 its a no brainer. I also agree that they should remake Grimrock 2, so I hope it sells well for them!

Absolutely! Grimrock 2 is like a uniform improvement to me, although I do like how focused and contained the first one is.

Grimrock and Grimrock 2 both very good games. Also Vorporium is a fun one same sort of game only with a party of 1 and steampunk

Question: How does the PC keyboard and mouse play compare to the switch controller? Which would you prefer or are they close enough to be enjoyable?

Keyboard and mouse is definitely the preferred way to go, but it works better than I expected on controller!

Thanks! On the Switch version, you pick the item up in your inventory with ZL and then cycle to the prisoner you want to give the item to with L or R.
