Legend of Utamatua, Kapingamarangi Atoll

His Majesty Aliki Chief Yostaro David (b. 1939, 77 years old) narrates the legend of Utamatua, Kapingamarangi Atoll. According to this legend, Utamatua, the founder of Kapingamarangi people, originated from "Tamana" (possibly Tamana Atoll in Kiribati), sailed to "Nukuhetau" (possibly Nukufetau Atoll in Tuvalu) and arrived at Kapingamarangi.
