After over 2 years of no new ALttP runs on the site, Reaif brings us this 100% effort, which is 7 minutes faster than the previous run by WAK. Watch it, download it, and then go visit SDA speeddemosarchi... when you're bored again.;)

I think it was determined in an SDA run they define 100% as all items, crystals, pendants but the bag/arrow upgrades don't actually give you new items so they are considered not required and would just waste time.

Also before anyone asks, it's played on Japanese version because there is less text and therefore saves time.

Basically, in Link to the Past runs for SDA, only the largest upgrades are collected for 100% since it was determined collectively that getting the other upgrades would only serve to waste time since they aren't needed.

i dont know about other games, but with Zelda runs the timer starts when you gain control of Link and stops when the final blow is dealt to Ganon.

Pretty much my best time for beating this game is 2:44:18, and I looked this up in order to see the fastest route for beating the game. While there are seconds lost here or there, this run is loads better than my time.

It's a Japanese 1.0 version only minor glitch. Just press the button for Magic Mirror whilst the block is in motion and it disappears!

I feel the upgrades to bombs and arrows should be counted. as for the tunics and shields as long as the highest tunic and shields are collected I think it should be 100%.

You can hold more bombs and arrows if you visit the fairy. I know it's not an item, but it is a permanent "powerup". Should you not get that to get 100%?

A very NICE run. However, you did not collect all the items in the game. The BLUE Tonic in the Ice Temple was not collected. Both the Bomb & Arrow Expansions were not collected either. The Second upgrade to the shield was not attained even tho it was beneficial in some ways. (RED Shield), However you did a nice job but it was not 100% more like 97%. A Great Job I Commend you....

116.30 100% no death on Zelda 2. Trying to get close in link to past on American SNES. But it's tougher Than Zelda 2 time but Zelda 2 no deaths def hard. I'm down to 2.20ish here because of u n few others. Great vid. Bomb in ice palace and temple hard to do, I can do in fire palace.. Because of u n others I'm down to constant 220. Mugen Kagemaru Not the riddle quest, but yes to the Palace of the Four Sword. I was never able to play Four Swords more than once until it was rereleased as DSi Ware.

Mugen Kagemaru I have no way to capture GBA game footage without turning to an emulator. And either way, I already have the SNES (or rather Wii Virtual Console) version already up on my channel. 100%, no glitch manipulation, segmented, one death, and it was done somewhere in between 5 and 6 hours.

+VigneIII 100% includes all maximum upgrades that show up on the pause menu. Therefore, since the Magical Boomerang, Red Mail and Mirror Shield overwrites their weaker variations, we skip getting the weaker items. Also we don't take advantage of the Pond of Happiness because it adds a huge amount of rupee grinding into the run which isn't worth it because it doesn't show up on the pause menu.
