My favorite megamix yet. This one was tough at first, but when I did it again a different way, it all worked out. My third LBW/FSA/LTTP mix. Enjoy.

Anyone realize how powerful the Hero of Legends actually is. This dude defeated Ganon, who has the might of the full Triforce and who had killed the Hero of Time centuries ago.

Not sure how you would explain it exactly, but he does obtain his most powerful equipment from the Land of the Golden Power which is turned into the Dark World to reflect Ganon's wish. The Golden Sword is so powerful, and he gets the Red Mail/Tunic among all the other gear, gotta count for something. Edit: how can I forget, he gets the Silver Arrows from the Dark World too. Ganon the greatest evil is defeated with Gold and Silver.

This is literally the most powerful Ganon has ever become and it was only Link that stopped him from destroying Hyrule after he already opened a portal to the dark world at the castle gate. He also is in possession of the Triforce which practically made him a god at that point.

Huh, you know, when you put it like that...how the hell did he win? Like damn, appreciate for a moment that he somehow beat a demon who had obtained the full power of their universe's creator deities and wished the world into his vision and wished himself invincible and immortal, and had a track record of beating the chosen hero of said deities. He does this by making his sword shinier and using arrows made of silver like he's fighting a werewolf or something. How did he win?

About the Triforce - I wouldn't bet on it having actually any impact on the fight. Ganon did not have the Triforce on him after all. Think about it: Either he is the most stupid being to have ever existed in any story ever created or the Triforce does have some limitations. If it didn't have limitations, the whole story should never have taken place, since Ganon could just wish for a world without opposition for instance. Or for the seal of the seven sages to be broken. Or for his own world, where none can interfere. Or he could wish for having no weaknesses. Or that the instruments that could possibly take advantage of his weaknesses be impossible to obtain with any other means than a wish to the Triforce. Or anything else really. He didn't, which should make you think why. I guess the Triforce either had limitations on how far you can go with it or on how many wishes it can grant or somthing similar. So I would think that Ganon fought by himself, so to speak. Similar to the fight in Wind Waker, but still more powerful (obviously), since he is not restricted by hylian / human limitations. If anything, then he might have had the Triforce of Power, which didn't do all that much in other games either, so... It is an impressive victory nonetheless, just not as imposing as it might seem on first look. Also let us not underestimate the psychological factor. Link more or less fought for survival and not only his own survival, but he was fighting to save the world. So it was do or die for him. Ganon on the other hand was most likely pretty confident and just thought of Link as another inconvenience on his way to ultimate victory. Like you might think of a wasp annoying you, while you eat ice cream. So he might have realized too late that Link is an actual threat if not taken seriously (which to me further indicates that he did not actually have (in effect) or utilize the Triforce, or at most just the Triforce of Power). Don't get me wrong - it surely was a tough fight, but considering the psychological factor and the equipment at hand, the victor was most likely pretty clear from the start (unlike the fight in Wind Waker, where Ganondorf could be considered to be in a superior position).

actually, I would debate that the downfall timeline thing is bullshit, just as most other Zelda theorists point out how the existence of the downfall timeline makes no sense. Especially since there are so many damn contradictions between the events of OOT, ALTTP's backstory, and Hyrule Historia that make the idea of the downfall timeline nonsense. So I would ultimately say that no, he never killed the Hero of Time, heck, judging by other things in the series, I would even say this isn't even that same Ganon. I would say the Ganon of the "downfall" games is actually the reincarnation who was born in Four Swords Adventures' era, and that the downfall timeline is actually just a continuation of the child timeline instead of the nonsense the Hyrule Historia and Miyamoto made up after the fact.

Imo the final boss of the first BOTW had a great atmosphere but it felt too easy. As someone who usually loves final bosses I hope they improve this in the sequel.
