I like how no one in the game ever mentions all the obviously evil trains going around with no purpose whatsoever other than to be evil trains.

Would this work as a possible spirit battle? Dark Train and Armored Train Class: Advanced Spirit battle type: Attack Power: 4200 Battle rules: Timed Stamina battle (you have 10 HP, and the enemies each have 500; 30 seconds on the timer) Rules: The enemy can damage you by running into you. The enemy has increased move speed. Survive until the timer runs out. Puppets: Blue Ganondorf and Metal Ganondorf. Stage: Spirit Train Support Spirit Effect: Bob-omb equipped. References: You have to avoid the Dark Trains during "Spirit Tracks". You have low stamina since Dark Trains one-shot you if they hit. They themselves cannot be defeated no matter how many times you hit them with the cannon, hence the immensely-high stamina. There is next to no way to beat them through sheer brute force within 30 seconds, even with the proper spirit team. Metal Ganondorf represents the Armored Train, which is slower but will not be stunned. Ganondorf because he's heavy, powerful, and an incarnation of him is ultimately responsible for creating the Dark Trains.

Guardians aren't an instant Game Over. Once you acquire the Master Sword they basically become easy prey.

I think the Dark Trains are another reason why people hate this game. Train driving can very easily become boring, and their idea of spicing it up is...introducing instakill enemies all over that are difficult to deal with and can waste a minute at best or 5 minutes at worst.

It's especially unfortunate that the cannons don't do anything other than slow them down, I was actually excited to get a little revenge on them early on and then promptly get killed because all it did was slow it down, which wasn't enough to outrun it in reverse.

Wait, I realised something, If you stop the train at a station, and a Dark Train is in the unmonitored train's direction, then wouldn't the train be destroyed? (or nintendo rules, i guess)

You can choose direction at the start. Furthermore, you can always just immediately stop again to reset.

*Neosquid* Hey Skawo, you should try to go for the entire golden train set. It's surprisingly not that grindy since the rare treasures you need are typically found as rewards for things like going to out of the way bonus stations, playing minigames, or sometimes you can even just buy them. Assuming you aren't marathoning the whole game in one sitting, the items change daily so Beedle will likely have some things you ened (The jade, maybe? It's been awhile.) The point is it's surprisingly less grindy unless you immediately sell stuff like the alchemy stone.

The ancient arrows you can get in the third section of the Trial of the Sword really are a godsend, if you use them in the right places. Don't waste 'em on guardians, just wail away at them. While being careful, of course. The turrets? Spin to win, with a little dodging involved.

Nah, Guardians are easy. I was saving the Ancient Arrow for the inevitable Lynel. I died on a Moblin in one of the fire sections, unfortunately. With lots of supplies. Just hubris.

I got all the way to the first Lynel at the end of the ice part, and died to him because I had NO IDEA that Ancient Arrows can one-shot them until after later watching someone else do it; I thought they only do that to Guardians.
