I didn't hate this, but it's definitely slow and feels like it punishes you HARD if you don't just jump-kick the entire thing. I eventually slogged my ass through this on hard mode and haven't played it since. There's a PC Steam port that has a "turbo" option that speeds the game up a bit which I'd recommend turning on if you play on that version.

@francescc923Are you playing the PAL version? I know for sure that my NTSC cartridge does not have a Turbo mode in any options, including the "secret" level select menu.

Rented this game when I was younger since it was a co-op beat em up. Gotta be honest, we liked the game a lot. Fast forward to a year ago when I went back to it. Man what a difference 20 years can make. I still played through it, but just like you said my biggest complaint is how damn slow it is. Some parts drag more with the amount of enemies on screen. So it’s even worse. Just think if they somehow sped up the walking and attacks. I think it would have drastically changed the final product. Great review man. Loving the content!

I don’t understand why they’d spend that much time on the visuals if they weren’t going to try to make a decent sound track. Those two kinda go hand in hand when trying to build an immersive atmosphere.

Great review on the game unfortunately, I've never heard of this one before. It doesn't look like a bad game, but in comparison to Knight's Of The Round and King Of Dragon's, it looks really blah. It looks like it warrants a play through, if only just to experience what it plays like. And I'm gonna take you up on your offer to do a counter to your Bad NES games that sre still fun to play video. However I'm gonna have to tweak mine just a bit.

i agree with what you said about the game itself! but, shitty music? i doubt it, you just got shitty taste for music.... King of the Dragons and Knights of the Round? sorry but Legend is a better game then what you my friend aren't understanding of it.

@@WhatsOnMyShelf for starters, the characters have a good story line, and are well remembered to my memory even after years. wherein the King of the Dragon the characters themselves aren't memorable. Plus the music is rock metal. Hands down kid.

@@arcaderkid8449 King of Dragons is just an Arcade downgrade port, while Legend is an independent work. Beatmup arcade games themselves don't put too much effort on storyline and presentation. But you are right about Legend having a totally decent soundtrack and is decent game.

Yo, love how honest and straight to the point are your Reviews. Considering Snes library and that the amount of good beatmups is not that vast on the system (at least not good ones) and I'm always looking for titles from this genre, which is my favorite one, I would give Legend 6 out of 10. It's rather fun with 2 players and a decent challenge even on Easy mode. I found myself having more fun than with other beatmup from same developer, Iron Commando. Specially because Legend is not as difficult as that one. Anyway, thank you for your entertaining work! You got a subscriber!

@@RonManGaming legend is one of the rare decent snes games I don't have. But yeah pirates gets really repetitive lol could've used a few more bells and whistles and some variety. I just got pirates of dark water for genesis recently, also looks pretty stale I played it for a few minutes lol

I also don't have the tick or stone protectors. But I do have 2 final fight 3s. I think that game is just as good as turtles

@@RonManGaming I think I got all the games worth their value before the market went to hell. Ninja Warriors is awesome, Sonic Blastman 2 is pretty cool but very hard to find so emulate it. I think final fight 3 is up there with ninja warriors then I think I'd pick turtles
