@@lurch789 - Damn! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your insight! You are 112% right. People don’t understand true meaning of even a 1 degree shift. Or, pay attention to how long 30 or 60 seconds truly is. Hockey stick taps to you for bush flyin’! It looks like so much fun. I can’t wait until that opportunity is mine. I’m at the very beginning of my own pilot journey. Just began looking for flight schools! I’m so excited. Aviation has become an obsession! RIP Jim Tweto. 🖤

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing and it is the first reality programme I became hooked on, simply because the humour, the relaxed way the family business was run and Jims skill, which often took my breath away, especially when landing on a river bank.. Feel so bad for Ariel and Ferno, along with the other two Tweto sisters and I send them my love at this most dreadful of times..

As a former principal for BSSD at Savoonga (1990-1993) I did not know Jim yet but I knew the risks of flying in Alaska on a daily basis. While we were there we lost 3 planes out of Nome with people aboard and all of them hurt deeply. Alaska is a big state with a small population and everyone pulls for each other. We all got to know Jim and his family from Flying Wild Alaska and it seems the world came to love them as I know the local population does. Jim was a huge piece of the fabric of the entire Bering Strait region. Please lean together as a community and support his family. They are tough but fragile and can use all the love and support available, both locally and country wide. Please remember them all in your prayers. Sincerely, Dr. Jim Lewis

I still remember watching flying wild, and how much of an impact he had on Ariel learning to fly. Not many fathers would’ve had the character to support a daughter or son in such a difficult endeavor. I was stationed in Alaska in the 80’s and knew a few pilots up there and everyone spoke in awe and respect when they talked about his business and his family. Sending much love and ravens ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

When someone you love dies it is like a bottle being broken on the beach.
