The numbers (10-70) on the dial aren’t for timing your dive; they are for measuring your depth via meters. 😊

Awsome video, there arn't many reviewers reviewing this watch. I have this exact watch, and I love it. I replaced the original rubber strap because it was uncomfortable in hot and humid conditions. I live in Bahrain, and the weather is horrible for rubber straps. I got myself a metal strap and an adapter from suppaparts, and it's awesome. It gives an amazing presence, and it's a real eye-catcher. I have other comfortable watches like the Citizen NY0131-81X, but I still go back to this.

Generally, divers dive on sunny days between 10am to 4pm. And since most of the diving enjoyed for leisure takes place at a depth of 10 to 30m, It is designed in such a way that the direction of the hour hand, minute hand and depth hand do not overlap each other when the dirvers use this in the real diving situation.

I just got mine and I agree about the bezel. It's too easy to move. I find it throughout the day in different positions from rubbing on stuff. Pockets, pants, etc

Another awesome review! Just one question...are you 8 feet tall? How do you make that watch look average size? You could wear an Invicta Russian diver and make it look like a pinky ring!

Perezperazaaugustocesar936 answered your question in a separate post instead of directly replying to you. He said they are the same watch, but cataloged under different numbers for the European market and the American market. 😊

I found a beautiful piece at the thrift store yesterday. it's a vintage citizen RACING something can't remember the exact name and number but I know they're selling on eBay for 5-600. a great collector's piece. I'll be willing to make a trade for a more modern design that I'll never be able to afford since I'm broke. lol. seriously though let me know if you'd be interested in seeing it.

I find makeing the case without lugs very clever! Thats why it wears smaller ... And all in all everything in this watch is tought and retoght again. The different abreviations on the serial nubers stands for US/EU markets.

There are divers which you "could" use under water (my Seikos... which I take off to wash my hands). And there are divers which you WOULD use under water. This is the later (when I was scuba diving, I wore a standard G-Shock). Interesting piece; but not for me. Good review.

Sapphire is to brittle and easily chips on the edges though it is highly scratch resistant I prefer the mineral because of the chip resistance. I know this because I have a pricey dive watch that the had the sapphire crystal and it chipped around the edges. I sent it back and asked them to put a mineral crystal on and that stopped the issue. I to have one of these watches and have put 100 or more dives on it and it still looks new.

Thats a good price but with dive computers now with NO2 its not as useful as it used to be. A dive watch with tables is better as a backup for predive and backup. Handy for skin divers, man aroun or over >5'6" and up

The GBR (great barrier reef) is on my door step and Im advanced and enriched oxygen cert for recreational diving to 40m. Been diving for 3 decades now, hope to have another one or two to go. Love diving and this is a nice watch but you need a big wrist (its a chunka) and the new gen dive watches have wireless O2 live monitoring. When this comes back into stock if its price is still so good might add it to my collection.

same here. wearing it to church and in the boardroom :-) .I get a lot of positive feedback actually. I collect tool and dive watches, and this one does the job for both. although it is not a automatic or mechanical watch, it still gets a lot of wrist time.

Thanks for the interesting video and I have a question about charging my watch batteries 🔋 I bought this watch in Germany but it did not work and the reason is there is no sun to charge the battery and the shop owner told me to work on the energy of light, is this true? Is there any other way?
@maverickwatchreviews
@maverickwatchreviews 6 жыл бұрын
I don't understand your question. What do you mean there is no sun to charge the battery? And the shop owner said "told me to work on the energy of light". Did you mean to say that he said the watch works on the power of sunlight? Just leave it near a window on a sunny day for a few hours at a time and it will recharge itself. Don't leave it in the window all day as that might overheat the watch. A few hours a day for a couple of days and it will recharge itself to 100%.

@dann904
@dann904 6 жыл бұрын
ONLY 200 meters? How deep do you think the majority of divers typically go? Try 50-70 meters max. And that's the deepest and not there very long since decompression is something to pay attention to.
@hesslein007
@hesslein007 5 жыл бұрын
@@dann904 I have a Citizen Altichron the BN4045 series and it's waterproof to 200m, better looking and it isn't as massive as this one here in the video. They sure as hell put a lot of steel into this watch unnecessarily so.
@assoverteakettle
@assoverteakettle 3 жыл бұрын
The huge height of the case is necessary due to all the functions it packs. It was also the case with its predecessors with the old Aqualand series. The models with full diving features were tall watches. The Altichron, also a beautiful Promaster, doesn't have as many indicators and alarms so it can be made smaller. Although these Promasters are legitimate tool watches I think they are more of an exercise in engineering as to how many crazy functions they can squeeze out of an analog watch. As a someone posted in a comment above, a serious diver uses a diving computer which contains far more data and tracks more information for a dive. Similarly with the Altichron, for real outdoors use like orienteering you're better off with a GPS, or a Suunto, Harmon or Casio Protrek which are more durable.

George Damatre You misspelled "you're." How are we supposed to trust you when you can even spell? By the way, here's a pro tip for life: most normal men don't care what the new "in thing is." This is a mans watch, not a woman's.

Lmao...now you spelled "you're" wrong again, it's "your" in this case...lol. Spelling mistakes aside, Chip Chap is right, this is a man's watch and a tool diver. If you're too weak to have this on your wrist then you're a SJW...lmao. See how I correctly used "your" and "you're" in that last sentence?...lmao. Now I'm sure there are some TYT videos you need to watch so take care!
