I love how the majority of the comments are not impressed by the E36 overtake at all. We're just out there having fun, and Uwe, having won the world's biggest races, does not need to win TF, so he just lets him be. Because of that, I commend him for being a world-class driver, not only in skill, humbleness, but also character. To be honest, I am not sure if I would be able to contain myself in such a car. But we'll see next year when I can drive and it's further developed :)

Only thing wrong regarding the e36 was how overly aggressive the e36 was. He should learn to just enjoy the free space he has and to Accept it when he is getting to a clog. Uwe did great,i would have loved a ride.

yeah but that was far from being easy driving :D I watched a lot vids misha driving the track. He is always so calm and cool, very gentle to the cars he is driving too. Adapting his driving to the ability of the car. Uwe here really kept riding hard even they several times hit the ground :D And his lines were so aggressive, but still though you never felt he has no control even for some milliseconds. Not sure if I would like riding with Uwe though, I do really appreciate misha's driving style after seeing that one here ;)

Impressive lap, I love how he thought he was driving a random guy like me but in the end discovered you have a lot of Nordschleife experience, way more that he thought. As you said there is no winning TF, and some people seem to not know that, I understand why he was not at ease, he was driving with 300 cars around but various driving experience, the others are not racing drivers so you cannot expect them to react as Racing drivers. Imho, the only winning in TF is the smile on your face after a lap, and that’s what everyone should aim for.

I thought they said it was modified with bigger turbo, and water/methanol injection, larger inter-coolers and they were still having issues with high temps so the detuned it from over 600hp down to 500hp...? Not sure how you see that translates to being awkward for Porsche though? 02:04

@@sickjohnson Yeah, they could get 500 with a tune easily. Even gts has 480 now. So what are they doing... And if it really had the cup car aero and brakes, even with 500-550hp it would be crazy fast. No need to modify the entire engine. Seems like a weird build.

@@OKF_Max I’m not too familiar with Porsches but are the turbos actually able to deal with that sort of extra boost for longer periods of time? What you get from a normal tune won’t always equate to reliability especially when it comes to track.

I love how people get butthurt by the fast E36. It's like you all never got to go to the Nurburgring ? As a beginner driver there, I have been passed many times aggressively, and most of the times by Taxi drivers that went by at furious speeds, squeezing between me and the grass in what seemed to be an inch of my car. That was trully terrifying. As I've learnt the track a bit, I now pass a fair amount of cars, but Uwe style. I slow down alot, wait for an opportunity to pass and then do so. However, I'm not an experienced driver yet like those taxis are. It's evident that the E36 driver is a reaaly good and experienced one, and therefore he's not going to slow down because the guy in front doesn't want to let him through. That's what Taxis do. It was clear from the get go that the E36 was faster, judging by how quick it catched up to Uwe. Uwe should have let him through in Hatzenbach already. And please, please don't serve me the "he's getting to excited" discourse. Do you know how annoying it is to be slowed down in corners by a car that goes faster in straights. That's like the worst thing ever for track addicts. Also don't forget that experienced drivers get a sixth sense of what they can and can't getaway with. It's not because you wouldn't feel ok to follow another car close that a good driver can't. And last but not least, GoPros are wide angle cameras. Meaning that the center of the picture appears closer than it really is. Therefore the following car is actually further down the road than what appears on camera... Anyhow... really enjoyed the video. Once again.

@@papatonys When Misha filmed my car the black E36 was parked just next to it. It was set up mostly as some of the best E36s you see on the ring. If mine’s got a few pieces it’s definitly not that perfected and well set up. Had Ap pro 5000rs in the front, Direzzas if I remember correctly and all the goodies. The driver in Misha’s video doesn’t own the car though, but he’s the fastest guy in an E36 around the ring. When you know how many men push E36 very far there, it’s not an understatement.

Very nice idea-project. But from what i saw pretty far from being ready. Suspensions setup to be adjusted to improved aero, engine with problems running barely 480 hp despite running intercooler and methanol injection (it was already equipped with those right?). I would have waited for the car to be fine tuned before hosting Misha. Nice video though 😉
