Both are great. Thomas is the one and only original but thanks to Sozos I can finally understand the lyrics...

@@hugotrojanovsky7667 That's true. The lyrics are far more understandable with Sozos singing. He has also a softer voice than Thomas but maybe even better techniqe. But after watching some clips from the current tour with Alestorm I have to say Sozos is definately lacking Thomas' goofiness on stage. He's sings great but he's acting like your generic power metal singer.

@@berwinenzemann3468 As someone who has been to one of the latest shows, I personally think Sozos is doing a bang-up job. He might not be goofy constantly but there are goofy and silly moments mixed with earnestness which I really enjoy. The silly hammer waving (and goblin fighting) has still been preserved. If anything, I would dare say Sozos is more energetic and moves around the stage a lot more.

@@berwinenzemann3468 Maybe that's because he concentrates on singing? Look at the singer from Blind Guardian. He sounds perfect life because he doesn't run on stage.

Sozos is great and has more vocal technique than Thomas... and live that is appreciated since Thomas in the middle of the concert is hoarse
