I mean, if that was true I'd have finished it by now. The length of time since I started is true, but ofc it is on and off again and again. Im close, much closer than before... but still not done with the sheet for sure. Speaking of which, thanks that reminds me to try and do more on it today. Its a Sunday I got time lol

Do not worry it is normal, just focus on the contracted games, but also just save A LOT. The game is too random unfortunately and this is the only option to get good RNG.

I'm in 2021 and it's just so boring on legendary. You have 0 room for creativity. I chose warehouse to expand rooms and the requirements for good reviews are just absurd. Early game is so boring building stars and doing nothing but contract work. Late game I always get 98 ratings because of pure manpower, but you are forced to stick to IPs to build reputation and I haven't seen how MMos F2Ps or consoles are profitable. Console Dev isnt even possible until 2016 for me 2020 because if you don't release current hardware it's just unprofitable. Cost for one console is 750,000, console dev room cost 10 mil. I have 1.2 billion in 2021 but I'm so bored I'm just making a new save on hard to play how I want

I spent over 10 hours on Legendary difficulty and I have never managed to get a game with a 70%+ rating. Especially for this level, I started using guides with ideal settings and even with that, when I started contracts from the beginning, I didn't succeed even once. Paradoxically, the highest I got was 69% and I found out that more than once, legendary employees and racing games are traps.
@Saki_PL4 ай бұрын
The developers really went too far with this mode and with such ideal settings, after 4 years of making the first racing game with 5 stars on everything except the "racing" genre, the rating is 3%. In the meantime, I had other game genres with an average rating of 55%
@RedRocV4 ай бұрын
Yes racing games and legendary devs are traps for different reasons. Now the main one for racing games is that at teh beginning you do not produce the right points (graphics and sound) which are the ones the design settings give the priority to. And for Legendary devs... too much money at the beginning. Just train your guys to be better after the second building and it should be still at the same level.

Hello good sir, I have another question - Recently I've playing a Sandbox game with these settings- 1. Smallest map available (I wish there were a map even smaller, I may just not use some of the real estate available) 2. Normal difficulty 3. -100K money (so you have to take 200K bank loan to start off) 4. Button to show most optimal game settings (This is basically the cheat sheet baked into the game but the percentage thing is missing, so that still requires the cheat sheet) I found the game to be a easy even with those additional difficulty added. Especially considering how quickly I reached 20M. I was hoping to know if I start a new game with "Hard" difficulty (one step above normal), in what way/s the game increases the difficulty. Thank you.
@RedRocV6 ай бұрын
Well, the difficulty increases... a bit. It's noticeable, but with the same setting you should still be fine actually :)
@sadmanpranto90266 ай бұрын
@@RedRocV How does the difficulty increase? Like in an FPS game, the AI becomes more accurate when shooting you. In RTS games enemy AI becomes more aggressive. How does the difficulty increases in Mad Games Tycoon 2?

@@sadmanpranto9026 They just make it harder to get high ratings on your game and reduce the amount of sales on games too, but before you reach Legendary difficulty everything stays doable with your own games with a bit of practice. Just make sure that you do your contracted games before making your own and you can still get ratings over 75% which would in turn give you enough sales. Higher rating = More sales and fans (which also mean more sales)

@@RedRocV Thank you for the breakdown. This was very helpful. I'll reach out to you if I have any more question in the future or find myself in some sort of pickle. btw, Do you make Arcade edition of the games and make Arcade machines? Is it a good idea to invest in that route? This seems like something that can be made with smaller investment than launching a console. I'm still learning about it as this was not present in Mad Games Tycoon 1.

Hi there, I'm back! In a hard difficulty game, would you recommend going for making Arcade machines? If yes, how should I do it? How to maximize the profit? Is the investment or money, manpower, and time worth it?
@RedRocV6 ай бұрын
Havent done enough testing with arcade. I just feel like it is a waste of time, money can flow in quite well still up until 1995. I always put things full stars and either keep it at 1000 or about 1100 max per arcade. This gives 300 to 400 profit per cabinet which is nice without hurting sales too much. Ofc if you go lower in the payment, its better, but it is always a balancing act and idk really. As stated, have not tested that room enough.

It increases the reach of the game, basically it gives more sales. I dont have numbers but its probably a 5% increase per language.

What goes into earning money in the mid game. Im finding 80+ games not earning money after 1985.
@RedRocV5 ай бұрын
Depends on what you're calling mid-game. But if you say between basically 1985 when AA contracts get unlocked and before 2000, then for me the best way to earn money is just to keep making contracted games. With a higher and higher rating and just dont forget to save scum, because the RNG is brutal in the game. You could try and make your own games, but as long as you dont produce your own games with 100 hype, the money generated through your own games may just not be enough to cover expenses.

@RedRocV7 ай бұрын
So the reasons your games get low sales can be varied. The main reason may be the fanbase being too small. If youre playing in legendary that can be a concern. Second is the consoles, ofc youre probably using the biggest ones in term of active users but it is still something to take into consideration. Next, it can be because youre using genres or topics that are overused so care for the small bar on the side when choosing a game too. Those are the biggest reasons, tell me if youve looked into all of that and Ill try and look further into the issue
