"A poor mans fight, a rich mans war" still going on today. The end of slavery (uk) brought industrialisation a new slavery but as Moses said in the movie " You can not own a child of God" Thank you for the upload, Peace, Blessings and Love.
@ianworley81698 күн бұрын
There was no slavery within the UK since 1066. Nobody was allowed to own a slave within England and the courts freed slaves brought into the country by their owners. In contrast, Britain participated in the evil trade until it was abolished across the British Empire in 1834.

We're almost all slaves today. The slave masters got smarter and are high-tech now. Just following their long term plans. Brilliant and sad. The best slaves are those who are sure they are free. We're more free-range slaves now.

Typical of hollywood making the south look bad and the union good. the south was right on the states rights issue. The war was not about cotton. Slavery was only a side issue. Many colored fought with the south. End result...we got the monster federalized government that has been destroying our country and we are now getting back to states rights.

You are wrong. Americans are being used by the wealthy. They funneled most of the good paying jobs, that every day Americans used to work in order to support their families and to have decent homes of their own, to a brutal totalitarian regime on the other side of the world. Just about everything that we and people of the rest of the world buy is now made in that brutal totalitarian regime that still has death camps for dissidents. They also still have forced abortion. China is the number one most polluted country in the world. It has no labor laws and zero environmental regulations and yet we hear nothing from the so called “environmentalists” or the corporate owned media about it! The majority of Americans just want to have decent jobs and the right to raise their families as they choose. That is why people came here from Europe to begin with. The elite royals and the rest of the aristocrats owned all the land and held all the wealth and on top of that they ran the churches. People came to North America so they could own their own land. So they could work and keep most of their wages. The most prestigious colleges and universities of the western world (Including American Ivy League schools) began to embrace and promote communism and Marxism during the early 20th century. Because those schools were run by the wealthy nothing was ever done about it. After WWII the elites of Europe decided to move the educational systems into socialism. That did not begin to happen in the U.S. until the far left Constitution hating judges that had come out of the communist/Marxist dominated Ivy League schools gained a majority in the highest courts in the land with the assistance of the Clinton’s favorite president (Roosevelt). That is when the takeover from within really began. They then started the globalization scam which funneled millions of good paying jobs to communist China and other countries with no labor laws and zero environmental regulations. Slave wages workers make industrialists wealthy. The globalization scam decimated the small businesses of the western world that had once been the source of income for millions of Americans. It decimated the middle class that up to that point had been growing. The corporate overlords bought up the defunct businesses that they wanted. Now we have five major multinational corporations that own most of our economy. We are living in an oligarchy. The wealthy rule over us. They have taken over the elections because their media corporations that lie to everyone just are not being listened to by everyone anymore. After the supremely far left court decisions of the 60s the doors of the rest of the educational system were opened to the academics of the communist/Marxist dominated Ivy League schools. They dumbed down almost all of the American educational system except for the few private schools that have resisted them. These people do not want another “greatest generation” to fight against them. If the U.S. government does fall it will not be the people who get back the power. All is set for the USA to be a totalitarian run country and that regime will destroy the majority of the population just as communist China has murdered millions of their own people.
@petercarpenter666810 күн бұрын
In Australia the rich and wealthy have a very Liberal, system that uses an invisible violence to make their world work for them. A structured violence you might say. The people who run that system, fear no recourse. My guess is that we are in for a dangerous future . Most of the Civil War documentaries or movies that I have seen are very careful to make the South look very valiant and made the North look brutal once Sherman got into the South. Of course the North had been losing the war for years thanks to the cowardice of Lincoln’s generals. Once they did start to win they had to make sure the South did not regroup as they planned. Sad to say that they are mostly correct about the politics of the war in this movie. Most of the Southern soldiers (who were very brave fighters) had very little money and owned no slaves. Many were sharecroppers. They were conned into fighting by the lies of the wealthy plantation owners. Money is a dangerous drug to some.
@annalisavajda2529 күн бұрын
Probably many of the Northern soldiers were poor too especially if you watch Gangs of New York and see the Irish getting off the boat and immediately enlisted and folks drafted or likely as fictional Rhett said in GWTW there isn't a cannon factory in the whole south they just had cotton slaves and arrogance.
@skelejp99827 күн бұрын

Really? The Holocaust was 80+ years ago, but Trump, the GQP, and their zombies are talking genocide and more. “Least no one forget” has become a mockery.

Naturally, they feel threatened when one of these non-rationally based conclusions is questioned by a thinking mind. This is not the original title, maybe that explains the foreign language that appears in the screen (close captioning) closer to the start of the movie. The original title is The free state of Jones! This is a story based on historical records. This story comes from Jones county MS, I live in Greene county myself. But this story is about the rights of the American citizens and the standing up against any government taking what you have grown or raised for your family in order to support others. Racism is in the movie although not the true plot of the movie itself. In fact the movie will show that as Americans we can stand together and deny the racist power to grow. This war was fought so the rich man could own other human beings! Doesn't it make you wonder why so many poor people fought and died solely for the purpose of giving in to the richest people's greed to have more than the poorest Americans. The one thing you will never see on any battlefield is a rich man. The renaming of this movie is nothing more than an attempt to deny the trademark and copyright owners and actors of the movie their royalties. A crime in America! I love to be able to watch a movie on KZbin but I am willing to pay for what I get also. Piracy in any form is wrong.
