NFL football will never be the same without John Madden. Even with the passing John Madden, his spirit lives on. "Boom, right there."

He should also be remembered for the powerful teams he put on the field,as coach of Oakland raiders.

John didn't have curfew for his players on Saturday night & they loved him for that & played hard for him, according to Kenny Stabler! 👏👍💪

I can't speak a lot about him since I am a 90s kid, but first watching him on Little Giants led me to love watching NFL on Sundays, particularly during college years. Great voice, and of course, great personality. Legend in every sort of way. Rest in Peace, Madden.

Oh no we DON'T "got it." He's from a generation the likes of which will never be seen again in at least MY lifetime. A real man's man. Tough but also kind, honest and with morals and respect. Not a hateful bone in his body. And not afraid to indulge a little with his food and huge cigars.

Dude! That's because, just LIKE Betty White, no one CAN say a bad word about him! He was really a good and kind man without hate or avarice. From a generation which is fast fading from us never to be seen again in MY lifetime, that's for sure!
@Aleyaha6992 жыл бұрын
@@retroguy9494 I hear what you saying but it's not because he's from that generation. There's good people in every generation unfortunately we live in the smartphones generation where we know everyone's opinion. Imagine knowing everyone's opinion back 100 years ago?
@retroguy94942 жыл бұрын
@@Aleyaha699 Well, I disagree. As a younger (just barely) boomer who was raised by the greatest and silent generations I think the majority of those generations were good people. While there is good and bad in all generations, I think the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction now. Where togetherness, self sacrifice, community and patriotism were the norm, it has now been replaced by greed, self centeredness and apathy. Case in point. I live in my family home. Growing up everyone knew everybody else. Neighbors helped one another. Socialized with each other. And it was a good feeling of safety and security. Now, I am the 7th oldest person (as far as time living here) in my neighborhood (which is comprised of 3 streets). These new people don't even want to know me or wave or say hello. I've never even met my 2 next door neighbors. I tried being friendly to a few of them. But they looked at me like I had 2 heads or something. When I went to the people who used to live next doors house (they were only here a short while) to tell them they left the lights on in their SUV the wife answered the door and the husband immediately appeared, putting his arm around her in an almost 'protective' stance. They didn't even come out or invite me in, talking to me through the screen door. Betty White and John Madden's generation came through a depression and a world war and brought America to its very pinnacle in the 50's and 60's. Look at the shape we are in NOW! Say no more!
