Aside from his total lack of success as a head coach or maybe because of it Josh McDaniels totally lacks an aura of confidence needed to lead a team. His postgame interviews showed a complete absence of leadership, usually blaming players rather than a poor game plan and predictable play calling. He broke the world record for all the " you knows" he spouted during those post game interviews and I think the players decided early they weren't going anywhere with him and performed poorly.

Worst HC that seemed qualified is a more accurate description. Saban, Petrino, Meyer, and others from the college level are in their own class of failed coaches in the NFL. McDaniels, Hackett, and Gase were examples of fool’s gold since they all had ties to some sort of NFL success.

"The Raiders have crashed and burned". Not really, as a Raiders fan, and seeing many other Raiders fans' reactions on social media, this is a breath of fresh air. Feels like we're not being held hostage by McDaniels. Pierce seems to be a coach who the players respect and will head into battle for. He was born in Compton and grew up a Raiders fan. His press conference was great, and instilled poise and confidence. McDaniels gave the vibes of a rich kid prick, who just blamed everyone else for anything that went wrong, and accepted full responsibility for everything when things went right. This is a better outlook than keeping McDaniels. Who should've never been hired in the first place.

3-5 is bad but there’s worse. Losing to the bears is unforgivable but the lions is acceptable, Detroit is a good team this year.

The Raiders struggled vs struggling teams over and over again and got beat by some. 1st time coaches, rookie QB's that never played an NFL game teams with horrible records ect. The team under Mcdanials with each passing game only got worse, they were no longer competitive at the NFL level.
