He was a great solo laner as well as a meta creator. Sad he couldnt win the finals and he end up quiting smite. Im still hoping maybe someday he will come back. I remember seeing Ares solo in SPL for the first time. Back before Tyr had any kind of nerfs and had more cc and damage, he was unstoppable for a lot of solo laners. And Ares hadn't been buffed to clear more with his chains or flames, but seeing that Ares for the first time was so hype! Such a bad solo pick in any other situation, but the enduring cripple and slow, and the knockup immunity on the flames was just such a perfect counter to the beast that was Tyr. I forget what the team matchup even was, but I remember it making history and ending Tyr's unstoppable bullshit.

There is a nice game worthy of a video, i dont remember when it was played or team names though, but it was iceice jungle playing rat and baskin on the other team playing vamana solo. The rat snowballed super hard and iceice's team was ahead by a ludicrous ammount of Gold (maybe 15k at 20 minutes, i dont know), but in the end they lost the game cause they never were able to kill the vamana. Anyone remember that game?
