I don't get what people that didn't play it are talking about. This game brings me back to the good old days of DIABLO 1, this is diablo one in VR for all intents and purposes. This game is amazing, even the music reminds me of diablo. The subtle controller rumple, you can feel things that other games don't even come close to, like pulling back a bow string makes you feel the vibration in the string, anyone that ever shot a real bow will notice how real it feels. IT IS AN AMAZING GAME! Don't sleep on it if you are a fan of RPG games. I can't stop playing. quite a few types of mobs, mob variety is not that big of a issue, there are elite mobs and bosses that are on a hole other lvl. Stop talking about the game if you have not opened it.

​@@Luis-rp2lm how far did you get the game. The further you go, you find more types of enemies. Did you play Diablo 1? It had about as many types as you find here. This game makes me nostalgic for the beginning of the golden era of RPG-s. I like this game more than Resident evil 8 and 4, more than the walking dead, etc. It's my favorite VR game. Yeah it's not perfect but it has a certain charm that is unbeatable.

Loving the game so far. I think if people know what to expect then they'll love it. We wanted a big chunky game to sink our teeth into....here it is. Would love to see Sony invest in the studio to secure their future as i think they have a lot of talent.

man this game is awesome. I fell in love fighting with speers. I can actually use my real world Kobudo Skills (Martial Art Fighting with weapons like a wooden stick) and translate it into this game. I can even switch my Hand position from left right smoothly. Mindblown 🤯

Folks please do consider buying and supporting this game. How many times have you been burned by $30 VR tech demos masquerading as games? This is the real deal and well worth the price of entry. Ive played pretty much everything VR since the launch of the OG HTC Vive, and I’ve never run out of batteries on my controllers until this. It’s just that addicting. I know many will hesitate spending this much out of the precedent it appears to set, but the amount of content here is worth it just for single player, much less the glorious multiplayer.

I'm in the "want to support them camp" loving the game, although it's not perfect. I want to see them succeed. So far 23h into it on my 3rd day, and a dislocated finger for smashing my wall. One thing I feel like those who criticize it so heavily, forgets how important it is for the broader perspective. We need some wins for psvr2 as a whole, after some big L like Firewall. I'm not saying you have to like the game or not state your opinions. But some of the arguments I've heard is just not very well thought out. Seems like people tend to speak of things they haven't really thought out well enough. With that said. I don't disagree with a lot of the critism it gets, I just have a different view and I'm really enjoying the game regardless of the negatives it also has. It is to be expected.

The fact you can have a weapon that is basically Captain America's shield is almost alone worth the asking price for me. If you like hack and slash dungeon crawlers (especially in Co-op) then this is easily the best on PSVR2. Yes it doesn't have voice acting and the textures aren't super high res and the enemies are mostly variations on humanoid like characters but the overall package is better than the sum of it's parts. Especially the melee combat with it's best in class parry system!

Worth the entry fee for sure, £ per hour of entertainment makes this a bargain compaired to most other games. The only other vr game I've spent so much time on is GT7. Scale of the upgrade trees, weapons handling, crafting etc. Plus if these passionate devs plans are good, how much more is in the works for future updates.

@@FrankWasTaken I think it is a great way to bond with him given the context of his life. He hurt his leg almost a year ago and hasn’t been able to do any of his favourite sports since then. Consequently I have taught him some card games, convinced him to Join a hockey pool and now started playing VR with him. Hopefully we can go back to playing sports together but a breadth of leisure interests is important in my opinion.What do you think? Do you play VR with your son?

Game is great. Tons of value here at 100s of hours. I def wanted a Skyrim type game. But it’s super fun to play coop and there is so much depth here in characters builds and leveling. Not to mention coop play is so much fun. Esp when your coop buddy is close in level. The challenge is that many of the crafting mechanisms are complicated with very little tutorial type info. But once figured out is really fun and engaging.

This game is definetly worth every penny. It's awesome! And I didn't even like rpgs a tiny bit before playing it. I hated the rpg loot and leveling grind but this game made me love it! It is my wet childhood dream to become a knight and this game made it possible. You can build whatever character you want to and the fights are awesome even when the enemies are repetitive!!! 👍🏻

I think that people dont understand the game. This game is super fun with a lot of playtime for a game made from a small team. And i personally kind of like the walking speed being slower than normal since it made it a lot more tactical and realistic. Also parrying is so good and satisfying in this game. Plus me and many more people bought it for way cheaper when it was on early access so this was 100% worth it. I mean Blades and Sorcery is basic vr combat with nothing more and people like it so i dont get people who bought legendary tales and disliked it. I truly think that console players dont get the vr market since only quality games make it on consoles so people cant appreciate an indie game that takes more risks or tries to be more ambitious.

I'm having a blast with Legendary Tales! gameplay is great, it feels really good. I haven't trying the multiplayer yet. I do think there's some room for improvements in areas such as narrative, enemy variety and tutorial (LT is a complex game, there's so many layers and not all of them are easy to understand by theirs tutorials / guide. Neverthless, this is one of the best games on PSVR2 today. I really hope devs keep improving the game 🤞🤞

Umm.. you rest at campfires, drop your equipment when you die and loose it forever if you die again without retrieving it, you can create whatever build you want, the bosses are hard and the combat system is a dodge,parry,attack style. sounds like it has a few similarity’s to me..

@@vengefulcloud2337 you also forgot that it lacks the 40+ locations that range from a demonic temple, to underground sewers, to a palace of the gods. It also lacks the 70+ enemies present in dark souls. This game has 3 enemies and repeating textures as the walls.

Legendary Tales has been super fun. I’ve had no glitches or anything game breaking and the combat is so engaging. The music is great and all the mechanics are cool. I feel like I play for about 20 minutes and 3 hours go by easily. Once I’m finished with my first playthrough, I’ll be excited to create a new character with completely different stats and play style. Oh yeah and it’s multiplayer co-op!

I bought the game directly on the first day for 54.99 euros. I have to honestly say that the price deterred me a little, but after I was in the game and dealt with it, I can't get away from it. It is incredibly extensive and you have a lot of fun. The whole game mechanics are simply incredibly well implemented. Buy the game, this is the only way the developers can also develop the game and it has so much potential!

3 days weekend here, spent all of it counting on friday night on the game, more than 20 hours, and I love it! Like some reviewers said it's a slow burn but becomes really addictive if it's your kind of games. Especially the level design and overall combat stepped up counting on the 3rd and 4th dungeons. But I don't think the comparison with Skyrim is relevant. If it's what you're expecting you will most likely end up disappointed. Now if you like games like Demon's Souls and hack n slash/dungeon crawlers like old fashioned Diablo, Baldur's Gate and King's Field, this game might scratch an itch for you since it's basically a VR physics based mix of all those games. It has its flaws and you can see that it has been developped by a small team on certain aspects, but imo it only makes the achievement more impressive and those (5?) guys did an incredible job. The fact that you have to put weight in your attacks and counters is what makes the biggest difference with games like Grimlord and what makes the combats feel really satisfying, but it needs practice and is quite physical so it might be something that turns off some players, with the fact that it's not designed to be played seated (even if possible with some tweakings). Anyway it's a game that will divide, as well as Souls games divided players. Same story, some will love it, some will hate it, there's not much place for in between.

Amazing game. Exactly what I've been jonesin for. Now my only dilemma is do I dive in fully now, or wait a bit to see if the devs have a roadmap for post release updates. They haven't really spoken about that yet but they seem to passionate that if it does well enough they may want to keep adding to it. Either way, happy to have supported the studio by buying it at launch. Easily worth the money, when you think we bought and loved fracked for 25 bucks and that only lasted 3 hours! People also gotta remember 55 bucks in 2024 is like 40 bucks in the value we have in our heads with inflation goin crazy the last few years. I spent the last month absolutely wrecking Ancient Dungeon, which is an absolute gem for its asking price. at 120 fps, that world simply looks touchable, regardless of graphics style. This game is amazing. I grew up playing N64 and PS1 games and I care way more about gameplay than graphics. This is a game made by 5 people, that nails what I want in a VR dungeon crawler. I gladly paid full price to support them. Maybe the next one will look better, but I don’t really care if it doesn’t. It looks fine when you are actually in it. I buy most games on sale so I don’t mind supporting the devs that really need it. That’s how VR lives or dies. We can’t treat it like AAA 2D blockbusters.

After the reviews i wasnt sure if this game was for me. Buuuut. I shelled out the $80+ AUD for it and im really suprised by it. The visuals are way better than i expected, the physics are awesome and the combat feels really good. The only issue for me personally is the movement speed and the fact i havnt been able to spend more time in it. I hope the dev gets enough support to continue with this game and more.

My understanding from reading Steam comments is that on PC the early access price was $35 and it bumped up to $55 for the full release. The people there seem to think $35 is a more appropriate price for what you get. The questions are whether PSVR2 players will accept the $55 price and can the developers live on the revenue after Sony takes their 30% cut.

I think the game has huge potential, my biggest issue so far is the sound design, I'm hoping they can tweak it, as it can be seriously off putting hearing swords swishing etc when you're not doing anything and then no sound when you are, sound is a big thing in a game for me, it doesn't need to be triple A standard, but it could do with some quality of life fixes It's a double edged sword (pardon the pun) it's quite a big layout money wise for a game for people to take a punt on, I'm fortunate enough to be able to take that punt and support the devs, and take the loss if it fails, I really hope it gets the support it deserves from both players and the small development team, as I think there's fun to be had with it.

Amazing game!! Loving the leveling up options and well worth the price!!. I am fully supporting the devs here so we can get dlc and updates. 30-40 hours at least of playing time. The gameplay and depth of the game is still worth the money. Combat here is amazing and best physics system out there.

Not a lot is explained so you need to figure things out and from the little I played so far, it was not too easy. Totally get it, I love supporting talented studios and want to always see them strive. I’m usually one for supporting and buying games day 1 for that exact reason but…. $73.49????? I just can’t do it. Horizon Call of the Mountain is Sony’s 1st big exclusive on the platform for $79.99 and the game only offers 8 hours of game length. This game is AAA price tag and 10hours in length and looks like PS1 graphics, I’ll be playing solo mode because most of all my friends don’t own a VR because the games are meh and the price tag is atrocious. I’ll wait it’s on my wishlist

The game story and quest aren't the best. But the gameplay and boss fights are great! Just beat the second boss, batting his fireballs back at him with my claymore was an awesome feeling!

Good to see you back Frank. The late stealth drop hurt the release for this. I might have bought it by now, if I hadn't just spent a similar amount pre-ordering Helldivers 2 which released the same day. Safe to assume there are others like me who have to make the choice between games rather than getting both. Now it has to wait a month or two before I can afford it.

I never got into Skyrim , but when the AAA price is on the game it should be fully fleshed out nowadays. It sounds like this game selling for maybe 2/3 of it's price would fit with the content and encourage people like me to buy it as I am looking for more AAA games on my PSVR2

@@FrankWasTaken from what I've heard it would actually be pretty and in fact there was a quest build at some point, the only reason we don't have this game on the quest right now is because meta denied them. And the developer is apparently so stuck up they feel they're too good for app lab. So we have to wait for them to try again now that the game has been fully released.

I will say I was on the fence about this game due to the cost, but as for the game it self, it all looks great despite its short comings and I will buy this even though its $55; just cause of the freedom U have when creating Ur character and their skils, etc! So, I hope they don't have to go under, since the potential it has (especially if more is able yo be put into it) is somewhat limitless. [IMO 🤷‍♂️, plus its not like there's anything else out there like it!]

Ok so…”I have not played the game. I don’t know the game nor the mechanics. But let me make a video about what other people has said about the game and make a point that there’s been drama around the game just because some people like it and some others don’t (like any other video game ever existed). And then let me question if they are closing the studio down or not. Mmmm…interesting take. I like these discussions and I prefer this Frank better than the FW Frank. But I want to hear YOUR opinion on the game as an experience person in the industry. Give me more of that. I’d watch that.

I’ve been thinking and I guess it really comes down to (ridiculously) the way it sounds. $55 sounds way more than $40. I think I’ll support the devs who need it though, especially if they make a good game.

the game is fun but that price tag is just too much , there are better games with half the price , i think a price drop is a must. If you are going to charge premium prices you better deliver premium game not an Indie game

im not hatin on the game, but i fail to see why i should buy it if i can play dungeons of eternity, which i already own. im hoping for better story games. i wish i could play more of my pc games on vr so i could enjoy the great story AND in vr the combat looks great, but not "greater" enough than dungeons of eternity, to justify buying it.

I love the game, unfortunately my ps sense controller right trigger does not work, which makes it so I can not cast teleport. Which ruins the play, and since Sony will not sell the controllers, and no third party is making them, so I am SOL.

Yeah I do care Frank. I want to see vr succeed. It sucks to see these smaller devs struggling. All that means for us vr enthusiasts is less games. The more vr games that fail the more likely it is to steer other developers away from making vr titles. Let alone AAA developers.

People need to stop being so obsessed with graphics. It's why games in general in VR (and flat to be honest) are so shallow these days. When you spend all the processing power on making things pretty, it's always going to impact gameplay. If you're making a gorgeous online shooter, it's going to have to be a low player number shooter.. You can't have a 30v30 in a stunningly gorgeous game.. You'll get 5v5 and little to no physics interactions. Battle Bit should be the standard for what VR devs do. Basic graphics, DEEP gameplay, TONS of players in a server. That's how to make a GAME instead of making a visually pleasing entertainment thing.. I always use the Spiderman games as an example of the opposite of Battle Bit.. Spiderman games look fantastic, but the gameplay is so god damn shallow, it's mostly just quicktime events and pressing a button and watching Spiderman do an animation.. No web slinging aiming, that's all automatic. Dude locks onto enemies without you doing anything.. Those games play themselves, and people LOVE them. That's all good and whatnot, but god damn, there's hardly a game there. Without the graphical fidelity, no one would play them, cause they are not particularly fun to play. Just a graphical spectacle with some super basic gameplay mechanics.. Same with the Assassin's Creed games and Uncharted. They're more interactive movies than games. We need to move as far away from this graphics focus as we possibly can and get back into making actual games.. I mean back in 2003 or whenever it was, Planetside came out for the PC.. It was IMMENSE. hundreds of people per map, tons and tons of vehicles and planes and big bases and usable turrets and all that stuff. It was so deep and awesome. We had the Tribes games with 24v24 player servers.. We had Operation Flashpoint with maps that took more than 30 minutes to walk across.. What do we get today? Smaller and smaller Battle Royale games.. And most shooters are now becoming 5v5 team based games where ONE good player can totally dominate the gameplay and guarantee the other team loses. With 20v20 there's no "one sweaty guy" who can make the teams completely lopsided.... Bring back the huge games with tons of players. Morrowind didn't look good, but it ran on a computer that was far less than half as fast as the Quest 2... Same with Operation Flashpoint and Planetside, not great looking games, but they were SO GOD DAMN GOOD and deep and offered just an enormous amount of variety in the gameplay. Anyways.. I ramble... I hate the graphics focus people have. Takes me 2 minutes to no longer notice if the graphics are great or bad. Only gameplay matters. Don't even care about story tbh. Gameplay gameplay gameplay gameplay. It should be the only thing that matters, everything else is just spice.
