I already have this game, so I find it pretty funny, that this game can be played in so many different styles. You mentioned, that you keep on forgetting that there's a bow in your equipment as this is my main weapon! It only shows, that there are so many possibilities in creating a character and fighting skills. I love the game!

Definitely and I think that's what a game like this and RPG bring as a genre. I think in my time playing I used the bow 3 maybe 4 times and never again. I really enjoy the direct combat as well as the magic. Being able to build your character to cater to your play style is really important. Glad you're enjoying it. Yeah, I like to use magic arrows which have eyetracking and a bow combo. After a while of using the bow, you get more accurate and can deploy several shots sequentially.

I definitely prefer playing solo over co-op so you don't have to fight over who gets the legendary when they drop

Helps to have each person spec in a different build. I get all the dex drops and so on.

Love the combat of this game, currently playing with a two-handed sword. Hopefully the developers continue to add new things to the game like more different enemies, locations and some real quests with voice acting. It has a ton of potential.

I've heard some say it can be played seated, but I couldn't get it to work in a way I'd call it seated play. Either way I'm sure they could make it so you recalibrate or change it in the options. I'm having a lot of fun with it and going to play some more this weekend. Appreciate you always checking the reviews out.

The easiest way (IMO) to play this game seated is to change the actual PSVR2 settings so that the floor is lower than your actual floor. It’s easy enough to undo for other games. Also, supposedly you can move faster depending on your build. Dex builds move faster than Strength builds, etc.

So far this is one of my favorite games on psvr2. I pretty much don’t care about playing other games at all. I’ll play for 3-4 hours and feel like only 30 minutes have gone by.

I played some more last night with a friend and someone else joined and it was a lot of fun. Totally agree about the time, think we played for 2 hours felt less. Glad you're enjoying it. Appreciate you checking out the review.

That's fair, I suppose if you read each quest line then it may form a story, but personally for me without voice acting and NPC presence it makes it a bit difficult get attached to the quest they're sending you on. Appreciate you checking out the review and leaving a comment.

My main concern gleaned from your review is that since I'm not a fan of boss battles and I would be playing this game solo, that might provide a difficulty. (I most certainly would not be playing co-op at all, even just to defeat a boss). I am planning on getting this game someday, but that's something for me to think about. Thanks for your review!

Wait for a sale. Swordsman VR is cheaper though single player (at this time). $55 for digital only is ridiculous. Seems ok but I'm good with what I have and 1:25 clipping is embarrassing 😳.

@@MrVariantyeah I'd say if you're not intending to play multiplayer (best way to play) or feel it's not everything you're after then probably best to wait for a sale. There can be some clipping here and there but I think during the crafting side of the game you're in that moment and very little will take that feeling it gives away. @GWTGamesWithTea oh sure, you said you had problems with it too. Just helps to know people aren't putting everything on a pedestal as this industry crashes lol. At least nintendo is monopolizing with nearly monthly first party high quality releases from October's mario wonder to March's princess peach showtime. Psvr2 got better with people returning apple vision pro lol Bluetooth/lens glare or headache fail, and meta quest 3 battery pack bricking the system. Just gotta pass the time which I'm glad for magic the gathering (hopefully one day yugioh will stop milking lazy nostalgia and do VR they announced), it's lore and many books have. And of course just to replay my collection and even consider it a backlog if I don't see anything I want that isn't crazy overpriced by the end of the year. I mentioned physical as song in the smoke has crafting and has a physical release at $35 to be reduced with target sales. Just wish it had a generous auto save as it takes me time to remember the crafting again but the waterfall haptics on the headset was a great experience.

@@MrVariant I'd be all for a Yu-Gi-Oh in VR just for the nostalgia purposes. I enjoy the quest 3 and I do use it a bit, but I play games on the quest that aren't available on the PSVR2.

The goblin cave felt horrible to play in for 2 hours, it is definetly gonna be a turning point for players, either you love it or you just cant continue

Yeah the cave was definitely something I found quite tiring. The problem with caves is there isn't any scenery to take in, you're just walking through an area with all the same textures. I do think with this game there comes a moment it clicks with the player and that's when they will likely enjoy it. Appreciate you checking out the review and commenting
