When Michael was asked if he was a Queen fan he reportedly replied: I'm a Freddie Mercury fan and yes it was mutual ❤

There Must Be More to Life Than This" is a song by Queen, released on November 10, 2014 as the third track to the band's compilation album, Queen Forever. It features posthumous vocals done by both Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson. It was 1 of 3 demos Michael Jackson and Freddie mercury recorded in the 80s.

First time hearing this song. Thanks. I noticed Freddie singing with Monserrat Caballe in the clip. Have you reacted to Them singing 'Barcelona'. Freddie wrote it for a promotion for the Barcelona Olympic Games. His ambition was to sing with Monserrat who is an opera singer. And she agreed. Cheers JM ✌

There were 3 demos recorded with Freddie & MJ. *THERE MUST BE MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS* was officially released, after some tough negations with Michael Jackson’s people. Freddie wrote it and Michael wrote STATE OF SHOCK (it’s on KZbin). But due to their scheduling conflicts, MJ asked Freddie if it were okay if Mick Jagger were to complete the song. In an interview, Freddie commented that their friendship was important, so he was ok with it. Fun fact: While recording in MJ’s home studio, Freddie thought, while scratching his head, why did Michael sleep on the floor in the middle of his mansion!! 🤔⁉️

It’s actually kind of funny. Both MJ and Freddie sang the whole song in 1984? But Freddie had to go to Neverland to record what was supposed to be a project. Long story short; Michael had his llama and other wild animals running free and on the 2nd day Freddie called his manager and said: “Get me the F*** out of here!” Brian May released a “Queen” version of this using the same tapes but more guitars and less Michael. I chose this one because the vocal exchange is pretty equal.

Listen to the solo version. Michael is so good that songs sound worse when other people sing with him.
