The sad part is someone at CA is probably working to patch this exploit just because they don't want people to "map clear on turn one" despite the fact that this is awful and no one would willing do it unless they are just completely cheese obsessed. That last battle reminded me of the first time i played total war warhammer 1. Had no idea what i was doing and had really only taken the lands in my immediate vicinty ( didn't realise levelling up lords was important, was playing more like it was a civ game) then Kholek and archaon showed up and absolutely gaped me lol.

I'd bet "Malus Darkblade" and "Malus Darkblade on Spite" are different entities, and actually trade places when you switch mounts. That'd explain why the game forgets you occupied a settlement, since the LL who did so is no longer leading that army. Would swapping Lords entirely still work?
