Being a great player is athletic prowess. Coaching and selecting is mental prowess there is a reason most great coaches were average to substandard players. Trent Robinson played 3 games in his career. Brian smith never made it to first grade. Wayne Bennett was an alright winger in the brl. The sooner rugby league administrators and fans stop pretending playing talent matters to coaching abilities the sooner nrl will leave the amateur hour garbage behind, no other top tier league in any sport would accept “we just didn’t turn up today” coming out a player or coaches mouth but that’s offered as an excuse often in league.

Olakau'atu can only play back row but Martin can play in the middle and back row, he's a better bench option. And I think Ramien and McInnes were better options than Mitchell and Young.

What a joke didn't Joey and Freddie said the same crap before selecting and losing last year team. Freddie should've been removed after losing to reserve grade QLD team during COVID. Joey is in love with Cody and Latrell, for me Latrell I can say at least he's not playing fullback in Origin but picking Cody and talking up Hudson Young, I hope this two don't have much influence in NSW selection
