Haha, quite so but don't discount yourself. It's easy to go off-tune during a liveshow. I've sung at events and bars and it's hard to hear myself over the loud music and (sometimes) crowd cheers. That's why singers use in-ear monitors too but even then, anxiety can still throw them off.

Also people are insane if they consider this pitchy. Sure it isn’t 100% accurate to a fully edited sample, but she more than makes up for minor inconsistencies with just power instead. Most live artists can’t even belt their songs this accurate, and they still crush it. Outside of an extremely small list of singers (tori Kelley, Mariah Carey, Alicia keys, Bruno mars, Justin Bieber surprisingly etc) very few singers are borderline robotically accurate like that. It’s just not how the human voice works

Doing low vocals live AND WHILE WALKING are hard, no matter who you are, then you add the nerves in with a massive crowd? Yeah, not shocked she messed up at first, but she brought it back strong!!! I felt so bad for her, she looked disappointed in herself, but she should be happy she finished so strong! I wanted to give her a hug!!!!! They should have NEVER had her walk in that beginning part, that's bad on the person who choreographed the stage performance - not her!

It's possible, but they usually have special ear buds in their ears to better hear selves and check if there in tune. Since the instrumentals can be really loud.

even until today, this opening ceremony is the best in my opinion. the music, the feels, all of it. Imagine being the last two teams and walking out on the stage during this performance while everyone is chanting your name. probably the best feeling in the world. that is why the say "the best of the best".
