I'm sure it woulda been one of my childhood faves too (if I had seen it then)

Old Benny was the real life brother of young Benny. This movie was like my childhood in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I was born in 1976.

You popped up on an older review a few weeks ago, and I've enjoyed watching a few of your recent movies. Came back tonight to play this as a first 'repeat' when going to bed, and noticed just how extensive your backlog is. I've got a few good ones queued up for tomorrow / this week, you've been fun to watch, and I can't wait to watch the older (movie) reactions!

I always thought it would have been hilarious if Squint's plan backfired and the male lifeguard gave him CPR.

Another cool movie you may not have seen is The Monster Squad (1987). Its like a scary version of the Goonies. Of course the production quality isnt as good as The Goonies but its about a group of kids fighting monsters. It was the official sleepover movie as a kid and its a cult classic. At least check out the trailer and see what you think👍

oh yeah I've heard of that 1 I'll for sure check it out!

"Sandlot" is a term for any unorganized informal sport played by neighborhood kids on a vacant lot. It can be baseball, football, soccer, etc. The word can be a noun describing the "field" or an adjective placed before the sport being played-- sandlot baseball, sandlot football, etc.

I always imagined that hat as being the only thing remaining of his real father. It was his real dad's fishing hat. Which is why he didn't burn it.

53:12 your not wrong i first saw this movie when i was 7 years old in 2007 it was the closest thing i would see other kids like me having fun outside but that rarely happens now and it makes me sad that i will never get that chance to play with the other kids because i sat in my room building lego i did get a little teary eyed just now

Guy who played Babe Ruth, Art LaFleur, was one of the baseball players in Field Of Dreams, also with James Earl Jones. You saw him as one of the coaches of The Replacements. He was in a lot of movies in the 80’s&90’s.

You didn't really think Hank or Babe were their real first names, did you? Hank is a common nickname for Henry. Like Bill is for William or Bob for Robert. George Herman Ruth is Babe's real name.
