I love Legends of Andor! Early in the game I had to let some enemy units move past me. I was so tempted to just attack, but it's that impulse you just gotta ignore or you'll lose. Felt very thematic at that point for me.😎

When I first got the game I fell into the trap of "this is a light RPG adventure game" and didn't like it. That was me trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. It was one of my first ten modern board game purchases when I was just getting into this hobby. SO GLAD I revisited it later, with more experience under my belt. I love the Andor system, and Michael Menzel's art is my favorite. It pains me to see reviews on BGG hating on the gameplay because I can't help but wonder if they had the same wrong first impression that I had, and never gave it a chance to show what it actually is, and just remained angry it isn't what they thought it was. I just wish all of the content would get translated to English. YESTERDAY (Feb 21, 2024) I finally got my hands on Eternal Frost! I preordered it June 3, 2023...

@@CeePhour I too think many people misjudged it for what it isn't. And yes the artwork is probably my favorite of any board game I own. Still amazes me that LoA is such a quality game for under $40 at most online outlets. As are many of its big box expansions.

Just got this game last week. I like to think I’m pretty good at understanding game rules - but the tutorial style seemed really odd. Thanks for your video - it really helped!!

Wonderful! I bought this game, the followup and Shield on a sale last year. Never played it. Was wondering if it were a game for me at all. Now I hope to get an idea about that after watching this. So thanks for chosing this game!
