A part of me wishes that Ratchet Lady wasn't so obviously the villain. There's a certain weirdness to "is all this in the final girl's head and she's actually the killer?", considering the location and background.

According to what I saw you could have just called the God, you made that roll, and had him explode the Zordian lv4 same level as your guy, the end. That is following the list given for what a God can do for you.

As a fellow O.G. Endeavor fan (and longtime scuba diver, to boot!), I'm very glad to see you playing this, Mr. Phour. However, after having watched your playthrough, I'm not convinced the Endeavor design is suited to solitaire. At all! It seems like you're just playing that lovely and wonderfully brief Endeavor gameplay (7 rounds, and they *fly* by, as you kept noting!), but instead of competing with other players, you're presented with arbitrary -- and frankly quite difficult -- objectives. At least, that's how it looked to me. Like you, I adore Endeavor; but as a solitaire boardgamer, I don't see the appeal of turning it into a ruthless optimization puzzle. : ( But if you keep playing, I'll definitely watch more Deep Sea Endeavor. I'm curious how different scenarios are from each other. Orca tokens, huh? Hmmm.....
@CeePhour6 күн бұрын
It definitely doesn't have the same feel or appeal as Endeavor, but I'm a beggar at this point, since it seems like a solid bot for OG is never going to happen. "Ruthless optimization puzzle" is perfectly put, which definitely appeals to many, and I imagine a lot of the hardcore solitaire crowd fall in to that group, but because of that, Deep Sea lacks my favorite question while gaming - "what do I want to do"?

hahahaha, what a crazy lucky draw at 15:06 🥳👑 Human marauder is kind of risky once you start spending your energy. Maybe a better strategy would be to focus on hitting the enemies without spending energy as the human has a lot of health? 🤔I would have to test this theory one day 😁
@PochoMochoАй бұрын
oh man.. the second run was awesome until it wasn't 😅 I didn't understand why weren't you throwing the dice against the doom skull 🤔Was it because you had no energy? It was hilarious to see that you would have a great chance to win if you didn't fight the doom skull 😆 The sword seems to be a must-have when playing the gnome, right? Great run, nonetheless 💪

Watching your Under Falling Skies playthroughs had me revisiting the game. I felt lukewarm towards it when I first played it years ago. Now, I have an entirely new appreciation for it and enjoy it a lot. That just comes to show that sometimes, the mood you’re in can affect your feelings towards a game. I don’t know why it didn’t resonate with me before but I’m glad I gave it another chance. Warp’s Edge is another really good solo only board game that I enjoy very much and has a very similar theme.

The Shieldbash really looks powerful. However one thing to keep in mind is, when you move into a room with an enemy your movement action will always END. Therefor you CAN NOT move into a room with an enemy, shieldbash him with a free action and then continue your movement action. (See page 7 under "Enemies in a Room")

Really enjoyed this video, thank you. At 1:02:02 you say, "You can very easily make things multi-coloured," and show a token tray with orange bottom half, black top half. How do you go about printing something like that with more than one colour? Is it a manual process where you have to stop the printer at some point, change the filament and restart? Or is is a bit more automatic than that?

Another great playthrough! What a great game, and adding all these expansions give it an even greater variety of different flavors. When you showed all the playable characters I was like "Oh, man.. it would take A LOT of games to get to know half of them.." but it makes it even more worth the effort 🤩 I haven't had the chance to play that many co-op games, but I'd love to play them all 💪 Nowadays, Tabletop Simulator is a great way to play with people around the world (granted you find the right mod) 😉 I believe many people would love to play together with you 😁 Now, onto the next playlist! 🏃 Thanks for the great content, and for the G.A.M.E.R. phrase (which I'll ask you to lend me so I can use it on our game nights 🤭)

Niiiice!! Congrats on the first win of the series 🤩 Drawing the full set of the phoenix helped a lot, and this time the potions DID help a lot too 😆 It's neat that some spells can be used by warriors because they don't require an intelligence check specifically 🤔 The fact that you can go through the whole potions deck in a single game is great (granted you survive their peril effect), but having so many loot cards makes it impossible to get that specific piece of gear that you're looking for (which says a lot about your luck when drawing a whole set to begin with 😜). Keep up the great work! 💪
@PochoMochoАй бұрын
great game! I think that the best strategy in any deck-builder game is to chain as many cards with the effect "Draw x cards" as you can. On the previous-to-last turn you managed to draw a lot of cards and got very good results. Also, combining the effects of the mill and the woodcutter to put 3 (and potentially 4) barricades in a single turn was amazing. Zogar dying to the barricades was hilarious 😆 There were only two things that I noticed: 1) the Shelspawn should have dealt damage to the mill directly because of its ability (ignore barricades); 2) when moving through the Fearamid, the effect of all the symbols passed through should also trigger. Amazing content, as always 😁

Okay, rules talk: ~30:00 c;mon Mr. Phour, there isn't a deck builder worth its salt that doesn't cycle your discard into your draw when a card is called for, whether for good or ill. Glad your conscience won you over to the right side of that issue. : ) ~37:30 Unless there's something in the rules distinguishing Zogar in any way (e.g. "bosses cannot be affected by card text", I cannot see any reason the Martyr wouldn't work. But I guess he ended up delivering the fatal kick to Zogar even if he didn't martyr himself as advertised! And all due respect to your Gates prowess, but I definitely caught a whiff of promo inflation in that playthrough. I've seen the same thing happen in other games, particularly from a print-on-demand operation like The Gamecrafter, where designers are almost encouraged to keep up a steady stream of new content. I've played a lot of Iron Helm, and it's shot through with that kind of balance-killing expansion and promo nonsense. It's a real disservice to some otherwise fine games and I'm disappointed to see it here. I am, however, heartily tickled by your enthusiasm for it, so please don't take my comments as a criticism or judgment! (And, oof, RE: that little shoutout at the end. "Heck of an election year", indeed. Hope you and yours are well, particularly your mother given I know you mentioned she'd had surgery.)

Yep, it looks like I'll be picking up Gates now that you've effectively OBSOLETED my copy of Gate, Mr. Phour. : ) Seriously though, I had no idea Glover had done more work on Gate, mostly because I'd been picking up his additional stuff for Iron Helm. Thanks so much for showcasing the dramatic improvements to Gate! And I'm very happy to see a second playthough posted and waiting for me to watch. So glad to have you back at it, my friend!

What a great game! I'm starting to like deck-builders 🤔 The first deck-builder game I played was Clank! and I enjoyed it a lot (haven't played any expansions yet, but had a blast playing Catacombs and its solo campaign). So, I'm sure I'll enjoy playing this one every once in a while 😁 Also, the added variety of the expansion and promo cards add a lot of replayability to the game, which is awesome! 🤩
@PochoMochoАй бұрын
Great video as always! One thing I noticed is that you were adding damage to the gates when reaching the tower square on the Fearamid, which, I think, would have gotten your tower destroyed at some point 🤔 It's interesting to see how much damage you were doing during the whole game thanks to the drunkard 🥴 Another thing I noticed is that when an enemy inflicts 2 or more fear, all the symbols that are passed by also activate, not only the one the cube ends up on. That would have activated a hero symbol at some point 😉 Looking forward to the next episode 🤩

I'm so happy I could find the time for this (and Gates!). October was a heck of a busy month. 😮💨 Birthdays, out of town vacation (Disneyland/Legoland), taking mom in for surgery, covid wiped me out for a week (amazingly didn't catch it while away), 3000 miles of driving, the list goes on. In all of October I played ONE game (Imhotep vs wife). I was starting to lose my mind.😆Thank you for the encouraging words, I'm skipping out on a kids birthday party today just to claw back this little bit of sanity 😄

oof.. what a hard game! 🙃 From what you did on the beginning, I thought you'd get a better result, though. You were crushing it! 💪 I believe that a good strategy would be to rack up on gear/spells beforehand in order to be better prepared for the minions and the boss. Another thing I noticed is that I got the feeling that you were rushing through the rooms. Maybe a better strategy would be to explore at a lower pace and defeat goblins, disarm traps and/or explore stuff to get gears/spells. As a side-note, I appreciate you uploading even the games that you lost 😁I'm sure it'll give me comfort once I try this game and fail 😆 Let's see what's next on the following episode 🤩

Great playthrough! And good catch on the FAQ regarding the order of things when exploring. Maybe doing things in the wrong order is what made the last game so hard. Also, you really got me on the "Let's start with Ethairna... Etherna... ETHERNET is going to go first" 🤣 Lol, Ethernet ended up being the buffed mage 💪🧙 Oh, boy.. at the end I was desperate because you weren't adding the +1 focus from the phoenix set! But you realized and managed to defeat the boss 🥳 Great game! It definitely shows how much strategy you have to put into it in order to get the best outcome, and I very much like that ❤ Thanks for the great content! Let's see what happens on the next playthrough 🤩

Id say for alchemist table you would use one dice since the card says "a" d10. Buyt rules say any so I guess you can, just for those 1 seems more appropriate.
