Long before all The CW Superhero Shows plans were in place to produce a Live-Action Series starring The Flash & Green Arrow. This is the legend of Unlimited Powers.

If you ask me, this would be perfect for a "Legends of Tomorrow" episode.

I'm really happy you're continuing with this series, Erod. Makes me really curious as to what could have been and what may be in the future. It'd be so cool if they did this for an episode on the new shows. Heck, it might even get me to watch them again!

I remember hearing about a Batman series simply entitled "Bruce Wayne"
@jaredohlstein73556 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it was supposed to be about Bruce Growing up and meeting other heroes as he trains to become a detective/crime fighter, and that it would crossover with the Smallville series From what I understand, some similar ideas were used in the Gotham Series
@jadenbryant92834 жыл бұрын
Jared Ohlstein is that true
@kabesilvermaine47686 жыл бұрын
I'm generally shocked DC didn't take this idea and make it into an elseworlds miniseries. Infact it sounds like the perfect idea for a crossover with the CW shows.

I am really starting to enjoy the Legends of Fandom and Honest Review segments so much more than the actual Blockbuster Buster episodes. Haven't really watched any of them since they turned over to live action. Greatly enjoy these though. Hope to see more in the future. Hope you and your lovely wife are taking care ERod.

That would have been an awesome dc comics event, cartoon, or use the idea in the DC CW.

What's with humanity always trying to force the "no powers allowed" concept on the heroes? Without them; villains like Luthor, Joker, Myxysptlk, Vandal Savage and even Darkseid would destroy all human civilization. Even Marvel's guilty of this sin with it's Superhero Registration Act/Sokovia Accords. I imagine the world of the MCU will choose to repeal them. Once Thanos destroys a few hundred thousand capitols and lives
@1krani6 жыл бұрын
sadlobster1 Maybe it's a metaphor for civilians owning guns or something. You know, "stop these people from using their individual-given power (s) to defend themselves and others and look what happens." Incredibles painted it as "life goes on" (makes sense; The Iron Giant had a pretty overt anti-gun message), this show more accurately paints it as "all the supervillains run wild and take over the world" (in reference to superpowers, not guns; supervillains in real life work a lot slower). Seriously, did supervillains in The Incredibles just decided to retire the moment there was no one around to thwart them? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
@1krani6 жыл бұрын
sadlobster1 Oh yeah, the Sokovia Accords. Those laws that would've done nothing to prevent the tragedies from occurring, but were passed anyway to make people feel better. ... Are we SURE this isn't a veiled right-wing criticism of draconian gun laws? Reason I ask is because all this stuff was coming out before the debate was fanned into a raging flame war.
@sadlobster16 жыл бұрын
Perhaps the reason there were no villains around, after the heroes retired was the lack of a challenge/thrill. Without any strong force taking them on. Where's the fun in terrorizing weak humans? But seriously, do the governments of our world not realize that there are beings out their who could blow up a planet with a snap of their fingers? With such a threat present, why restrict the heroes for a phony idea of safety
@m1zz6136 жыл бұрын
Ikrani The Accords weren't to STOP tragedies, it's to have checks and balances for The Avengers. The didn't have any before so the world governments (and the people I think, folks didn't seem too happy to have Iron Man's robots flying around) wanted to implement some so that they can be held accountable.

Let's just be happy they didn't lose their powers for some bizarre, unexplained reason that turned them all into whiny idiots like a certain JLA story.

Intresting. And wow it feels so strange not having seen Arrow or The Flash this last season. I better get some time to watch those seasons or I will be completely lost. I have no idea who that Captain America looking guy was.
@TheCrazyNekoGirl21235 жыл бұрын
I really like Supergirl and The Flash myself. I don;t really watch the others but trying to get into Arrow and FYI he did do some of his own stunts like the salmon ladder thing that was all him. He proved it was when he was on Celebrity Ninja warrior. Celebrities ran the course and could call on their coach to do some stunts like the wall and they only had to go up to the wall Welo the guy who plays Arrow did the whole course including the warped wall by himself he asked if he could go farther cause he had something ti prove well the Salmon ladder is right after the warped wall. He did it but failed on the following obstacle. Was really cool to watch.

Dear ERod. Since Netflix is going to adapt The Witcher series, you could check the very first and very crappy first movie and TV show known as The Hexer (old official translation of Wiedźmin)? In Poland it has the same so-bad-it-is-so-good status as The Room. On KZbin I found some episodes with English subtitles.
@katecastreviews46395 жыл бұрын
So here's a question. If they did bring the Unlimited Powers idea to the Arrowverse, who would play Block, Dr Occult, and Green Arrow's daughter today?

Erod, I saw your update video and I feel for you, but you should cheer up. In the past you were the new guy who anted to venture out and be the hero. You got your chance last season, but it wasn't your strength. You are not the Doctor, you are not Iron Man. This video makes it clear, you are destined to be Nick Fury, the man on the wall with the knowledge beyond all the others and the ability to manipulate the situation with the plan. I see it very much like this, you were a researcher and gained incredible amounts of information, but you wanted more. But you saw yourself as the one to put on the suit and do the hero thing, the guy to show up and meddle in things. You got your chance and while it gave you the field experience you need, your place was not in the thick of things. Yes, you can hold your own, but your skills at gathering the right info and the right people made you more than just the man in the fight, it made you the man with the plan, the man on the wall. Yes, you might be scaling back your production now due to work and budget, but this let's you put out the intel the fans need to fight for you. You have the histories of the heroes and shows, you have the casting couch and bios, and you can fill us in on these as the news breaks, preparing up before we need to deal with the films, good or bad. The stage you are entering might be the time you become predictive in a way, by showing us the past. It might be the time to do more crossovers as well, to gather more intel and to make certain other reviewers are prepared (just a suggestion). You are Nick Fury, Amanda Waller, Max Lord, Harry Stein, Rip Hunter. You are bigger than ARGUS, Checkmate, SHIELD, The Time Masters, and so on. Become the reviewer we all know you are to become.
