As a supplement: The freestyle contests were an opportunity to take ice freestyle to the next level during its heyday. The aim was to perhaps one day establish the sport as an official sport. A competition was created based on past contests and the official sports of freestyle skiing/snowboarding and skateboarding. I would like to add here again that none of the organizers had the goal of distributing more or less prestige or even creating enmity between the teams. The assumption was that everyone had a common goal. In my opinion, the competition was taken far too seriously by the participants and got out of hand. In many sports with a similar character, it was much more friendly and impersonal. But well and good. In the end, direct competition doesn't seem to be a model for the scene, especially now that the freestyle scene has lost a lot of active freestylers due to Corona. So back to the basics, have fun and enjoy freestyle ice skating
