Robbie, not intentionally, but you're rudely / awkwardly interrupting the guests. He's searching for his own words to answer and you keep cutting him off. Let Lee lead the conversation and you can be color commentary guy (when appropriate) other than the mere suggestion, great job.

Absolute legend. Herbie is one of the reasons I started musky fishing. He’s definitely the most entertaining guy to sit down with and talk musky. Cheers boys thanks for the great content.

None in the forcast unfortunately. The regular is only slightly bigger where a fish would never be able to tell.

When he said "I hit that sob in the head." I have never cringed so hard.. 😭 So So So glad times have changed. Edit: Also I do NOT believe him when he said the 54" size limit has nothing to do with the numbers.. WTH??????? Of course it does!? Us anglers catch and release alot of the same first year after year all the time even if you don't know it. There is proof of that. Just like Mike and Robbie's fish

I remember coming off a lake after sunset and seeing Joe B. just going out to fish. We owe a big thank you to Steve for developing the “Herbie Rig”. It has saved lots of fish.

I was fortunate enough to stay at Andy Myers Lodge for a week in August, 2001. I fished with Herbie on the first day and learned the lake. We didn't catch anything, but I learned a lot and I was set for the week. I will say, Herbie runs a boat in high winds better than anyone I've fished with. He was running the kicker and steering the bow motor. He kept us on the bars all day long.

Great stuff. The long-form interview videos where you let these guys talk are way better than the actual musky videos. I like both, but yeah. I want to hear what the older guys have to say. Knowledge. Information. The stories are really great, especially about the big rare fish, such as the ones out of Vilas WI. That's where I fish, so that's what I want to hear. I get bait at Northern Highlands Sports shop sometimes, and it was fun to hear Herbie mention that. I know that area well, and further north. Also into the UP.

Agree 100 percent. They need to talk to Bob for at least one hour. Bob is one of the greats as well. I want to hear his stories on the super fish, too. He's also caught lots of giant lakers. He's the guy that got me started on jackpots. I've caught and raised a lot of big fish on them.

@@Fingolfin3423 same got me started not only on jackpots and Havana’s but musky fishing in general guys is definitely musky legend I want to hear the story about his lost “ world record “ fish I’ve watched that video 100 times at least and the fish looks bigger every time I look at it

@@Fingolfin3423 Is the Jackpot still used a lot? I'm not up north anymore so all I have to see what is being used is on the internet but I don't see anyone fishing the Jackpot like it was used in it's heyday. I see bucktails of course and big rubber and cranks. I dont see anyone walking a Jackpot.....

Herbie has great stories. I've been to Andy Mayer's once in 08. I caught 1 small muskie. Would like to get back again someday. Yeah, when the border opens you guys, Lee, Robbie, Brian, & Heidi, all need to go to Eagle Lake. Fun video.

@@billywallis4633 In following Lee's career over the years I do not think he's ever once been muskie fishing in Canada. I could be wrong, though, but I don't think so. I've been to Lac Seul, Eagle Lake, Lake of The Woods, & Crow/Kakagi Lake. While I never caught any giants I saw a few and we all know the potential of those waters. So if Lee ever gets up there he's going to freak out. There's miles of big muskie water and any spot could hold the fish of a lifetime. He and the whole @Today's Angler & @Angling Anarchy gang need to make a trip once the border is open. Wish I could go with them.

I have been to many of the greats such as Lac Seul, Eagle, LOTW, and the Winnipeg. Caught my first 50 on Seul...54.5"x24" MN was just where it was, way less hours to catch a bigger fish.

@@TodaysAngler Lee: I guess I owe you an apology. I'm sorry about that. This is what I get for relying on my middle aged memory, the chance to eat a little shoe leather. (needs salt) I've followed you for years and I don't remember anything with you fishing muskies in Canada, videos, magazine articles, etc. You wrote for Esox Angler, if I recall correctly, Musky Hunter, and did some video with In-Fisherman/Linder's Angling Edge. I'm surprised I don't remember you in Canada. Again, sorry about that. Hope no harm done. Nice fish from Lac Seul.

Great to see Herbie tell these stories! We have a mutually friend who turned my sons and I on to Eagle 17 years ago and we have fished there every year since. Not that my limited time on Eagle means a whole lot but I agree that the pike population is down at this time. Best of luck Steve with everything, hope to see you on the water this season!
