Grant authorizes a plan to wage war on the Native American tribes of the Northern Plains. Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer believes he will lead part of the attack, but his job is in jeopardy when he offends the President. Meanwhile, in southern Montana, Lakota chief Sitting Bull has his first vision about an upcoming confrontation with U.S. Army soldiers.

How far away was General Terry from Custer during the last stand.& Why hadn't Crook reported the battle of the Rosebud sooner.

A day. Crook didn’t inform anyone of his defeat on the Rosebud. He spent his time after his battle, hunting and fishing instead of moving to support Custer and Terry, for which he was severely criticised.

Indians got rights quite early. They were even legally holding black slaves until the end.
