Red Bull brought max in. They gambled. It paid off. It could have only gone 1 of 2 ways. Unfortunately, it didn't pan out for Lewis. And it did, for Max. That's all there is to it. There's no 'conspiracy' or nothing as silly, pushed by the max-haters. It was a gamble.

I think you misunderstood what Max said. Max claims the reason Lewis was faster than him was because of his exceptional driving and amazing calls for the changing track conditions. That's how I interpreted it. Nothing to do with Lewis having a faster car.

Max literally had the most dominant season in F1 ever, Lewis hasn't won in almost 3 years, but they still find a way to make it like Max needs to somehow undermine him... I've already said, its great to see a brit, like Lewis, with another 'w' under his belt. And I'm now a Max supporter. But it doesn't take away anything from my ability to see a true bad ass on the track. Lewis's wins - titles, they speak for themselves. You don't get to that stage,,by luck. But the DTS era, are the main antagonist, hating on Max for no reason, whe they have rhe utmost respect for each other on track and off. These forget, that there's an actual legion of fans - REAL fans, who couldn't care less about rhe negativity. But they still push it, regardless. Max has 61 wins, 40 poles. In half the time it took Lewis to reach the same stage. As a Max fan (and an ex lewis/Mclaren fan), it was a nice cha ge to see Lewis back on the top step. But the way George was robbed of the win, was detrimental as fk. Nobody raised the subject of 'water issue' after. Suspicious, if you ask me. But that's how it ended, it was nice to see Lewis with another 'w' under his belt. It's been in the tea-leaves for a long time. Getting close on a few occasions, him and George on the podium, when mclaren are not performing, is probably a sign the the other teams are getting the design upgrades right. But all this stuff, of claiming 'eve if Lewis doesn't win a title with SF, it will still be the right decision'... He is making a blunder. He made the right move, to Mercedes from mclaren (any non-DTS fan will tell you this). If he doesn't win the title, then it's obviously the WRONG move. But maybe I'm biased, because I rate Carlos Sainz as way better than charles. Maybe that's WHY they offloaded Carlos. Maybe ferrari doesn't WANT a competitive driver.

To be honest Mercedes also had the same strategy as Ferrari and they wanted to put Louis onto intermediate tyres but it was Lewis who said no so all the credit of this wind should go to Louis and his management of Tyres & conditions

Also remember that Ferrari was on an upward trojectory at the start of the season yes they made a wrong turn but that can and will be corrected and spoilers alert why not finish 4th and gain more wind tunnel hours so as to hit the ground running for 2025. Cause remember Sir Lewis's driving style and Ferrari's set up will some how has ti be adjusted to complement Sir Lewis's driving. Lastly it's not just what we see on the surface they're layers to this business called F1

Lewis has definitely made the correct decision for him. Toto is already regretting Lewis's decision to leave. He's very lucky that Lewis is a consummate professional and not nasty and vindictive after the way that Mercedes treated him by not offering him a proper long contract and an ambassadorial role. As you know, Hamilton was responsible for virtually all the essential testing and vital feedback that has resulted in the marked improvement in the W15. Toto clearly regretted not having followed Lewis's advice earlier, but by then I think in Lewis's mind the trust had already gone. George doesn't understand the engineering side in the way Lewis does, and while Lewis is behind George in points, and Quali stats, Lewis was testing the W15 up until Canada. Also, there's no question that Merc have been messing with Lewis's car. They let him win Silverstone, but don't be surprised if he only wins one or two more before the end of the season to stay behind Russell.

I don't think either side regrets partying ways. Toto made a concealed decision of a mercedes future without Hamilton & as soon as Hamilton caught up to this fact his decision to leave was easy but had to be tactful as he always is. I personally fully support his Ferrari move it's loooong overdue. Mercedes don't deserve to be part of the remaining story of Lewis, they unfortunately hog all the colorful history of it

I think Lewis wants a change right enough, however, I do think that he will feel like he has been instrumental in the progress of Mercedes, as a team. I also think that Toto is probably feeling some regret, now, especially as that Hamilton's magic shone through, on the day that it really mattered, proving his skills as a driver when he has the right tools.

There is one problem with Lewis Hamilton why he can never be the GOAT in Formula 1! Namely that never before in the history of Formula 1 has there been one driver who, like Lewis Hamilton, has ever had such a dominant car and team as Lewis Hamilton! And that is exactly what all his records confirm, because most likely no driver will ever have the opportunity to break those records again. So in this case Lewis Hamilton is the GOAT of the records set within Formula 1, but certainly not the GOAT among the drivers themselves :-)
